hello my question is can you turn a briggs and stratton engine with a milwaukee generator on it in into an engine for a go cart obviously with out the generator still attached it seems like the crank shaft is a little different from one like for a go cart but i could be very wrong about that anyways another question i had about this is how do i get the part with all the wires wound around it for the generator off the crank shaft i got most of it off but now i left with that still on my last q is i noticed that i didnt need any kind of throttle when i used it as a generator there is a part on the carb that looks like a throttle link or something but i never had to mess with it am i going to need a different type of carb i dont really know much about the engine the only thing on it was 4 cycle 10.4 CDI 171CC 4HP thank you

You might as well put the generator back together. most generator engines have a tapered shaft and you need a straight shaft for the go cart. As far as removing the armature from the shaft, there is one bolt down in the center of it and you’ll probably need a puller to force the armature off the tapered shaft after you remove the bolt.
