My dog, had a seizure yesterday. She came out of it fine.(She’s been having seizures every couples months for the past year or so). This morning she woke up, unable to move her hind legs. We took her to the vet and she said that she is paralyzed. She gave her a shot of Prednisone in her spine and sent me home with some pills to give to her over the next couple days or so. I was wondering…has anyone went through this and what was your outcome? She is a 7 y/o lab mix who is VERY energetic. I know she is very confused right now and I am doing everything possible to make her comfortable. Also, has anyone used carts for their dogs when paralyzed? Thanks a lot!

Years back I was given this for a Paralyzed Shih Tzu and along with Massage a couple times a day he was fine from there on.The massage I would do from head to toe, start at the ears and move down the body, the spine and especially the toes as there are a lot of nerves there.Your dog will love this and my was walking again within days.. Good Luck O hope she gets better

Yes. You MUST keep her quiet, preferably on strict crate rest, for the next few weeks to give her a chance to heal. The pred will make her feel better and she may do activities that will make the injury worse if not restrained.
