I am interesting in buying a 48v electric golf cart, but I have a hill right next to my house that I would be going up frequently. It is a pretty steep hill, I would say it is about a 45 degree angle going up.

Any golf cart is going to struggle at climbing a 45 degree hill. It is not a question of power, but rather the center of gravity is too high and the vehicle will tip backwards.

As a point of comparison, all-terrain vehicles (ATV) struggle with 25 degree hills, and a golf cart will be worse than an ATV.

eh, actually, the CG of golf carts is fairly low. You’re disregarding the weight of the batteries, and those are located in the center, low in the frame. I don’t know your battery arrangment (8 6Vs, 6 8Vs or 4 12Vs), but anywhere from 300-500lbs of battery mass isn’t unreasonable. Suspension and fairly small and flat as well.

ATV’s have smaller, lighter gasoline motors…and a long travel suspension.

as for the ascent angle…I’ve seen some fairly steep hills on golf courses traveled up regularly by carts, don’t know about 45 degrees though (likely 30)
