Hi, I’m a 13 year old boy and I live in MI. I loved america for a while and know its…meh. I personally thank the government sucks and we have the worst people(mostly) anywhere. When I turn 18 and go to college/graduate high school, i would want to move to Japan to go to college. I know that the tests to be an engineer in Japan are grueling, but i have all 100% in school grades, i go to private school, and i build my own go cart engines. I also know how to draw Manga very well and i sell some at my school, I speak fluent Japanese, love fish and rice and all the yummy goodness:), and i know a bit of
circuitry. I also hate people who answer my questions with "LOL:D," so please don’t do that. if you could give me advice on what are popular careers(and good colleges, advice, etc.), I love everything though so…
AND i don’t just like their anime, i like their lifestyle…

I have a go cart with the 5 hp tecumseh engine on it. My question is me and my friends are doing some night riding soon how do I hook lights up? Do I use a battery and recharge it before I go each time or is there something you can do so the motor will charge it? I really dont have a clue the best route i can go.

im working on an old go cart engine and the clutch is held on by 2 set screws, which i took off. But I think that it is also rusted inside on the crank shaft because i can’t get the clutch off still. I tried prying it, tapping it with a hammer, and now there is wd-40 soaking on the end of the shaft while the engine is on its side to hopefully leak down the shaft. Any ideas on how to get this thing off?? its the only thing keeping me from getting inside the engine.

I just bought a used go cart with the above engine. I pull up and the guy has the go cart running. Just sitting there ideling in his driveway. Well, I get it home and me and father in law cant get the damn thing started. We turned the kill switch to on and on the engine and turned the choke in every position we could. Then we checked the oil, there were 2 caps to add or check the oil. One on the front and one on the backside. It was oozing milky oil. What the hell? How did the guy have it started? How come we can’t? What is the solution besides replacing the engine?

Hello, I have an EZ Go Golf Cart that I just recently picked up, I’m not sure what exact year or model it is, but I know it is an older version (and it’s gas powered). Well last weekend, I went down a hill with it, and stupid me, didn’t put it in neutral, and it stretched out the drive belt. So now the engine won’t turn over and start due to the drive belt not moving. So what I’m asking is where I could go to buy a new drive belt? I’m not looking for an online source, because I am not planning to buy one online. I’m looking for a store. Oh, could anyone tell me if Tractor Supply has them?

I own a go-kart that had a 6 hp engine, but i swapped it out for a 8.25 hp briggs & straton. The cart accelerates very quickly, but after a few seconds it goes alot slower than what i think it should. If i tampered with the governor to make it top out at a faster speed, what kinds of effects will this do? My object is to get this thing going as fast as the engine will let it. If its safe for the engine, where can i find directions to do it?

Me and my uncle want to make one together since he has a spare engine, and it has to be off road, cause we’d use it at my dads land waaay up north in the middle of some woods and ride it on trails where its hilly and bumpy but would also use on roads but never cement, just dirt roads. Thaaanks =) he wanted me to get these plans so he knows what were doing =P

A while back I saw a guy who had actually done this;he was fueling up at a gas station.I imagine it’s much the same as making a motorized go-cart but I don’t know how to do that either. If you know of a starter site that would be awesome. Thanks!Joe

What could be installed on a go-cart, besides a battery, to generate power so I can add headlights. It has a 6.5 tecumseh engine.
someone told me there is something that can mounted near the flywheel to generate power.

My go kart has a little 4HP B&S engine on it. its really old too. and I cant get it to start or stay running. i have good spark, and fresh fuel. new spark plug and new throttle cable. I cant start it unless I saturate the carburetor with starter fluid and prop the rear wheels up and put it at full throttle. the clutch works on it, but I cant start the engine unless it is at full throttle. 3 out of 10 times it will stay running. and when it does run it is really really rough. itll sound like a loud lawnmower for a few seconds and then a loud pop or two over and over. when i get it running i can back the throttle down a tiny bit at a time until the clutch disengages and i can set the cart down. When I go to sit on it, if the engine stays running, the engine will die as soon as I give it gas. It will move a tiny bit then just die. what could be my problem?

Not sure of the year, but I would guess 99 or newer. It has a Yamaha 3 position ignition switch with 6 pins in the back. (3 position meaning off, headlights on, and headlights and engine on) I need to know which wires/pins are which so I can change the switch to a newer Ez-Go 4 pin 3 position switch. Can anybody help me out? This golf cart doesn’t have turn signals or break lights. I need the 2 wires for the headlights and the 2 wires for the engine to hook to the new 4 pin switch.
I just found out that the yellow wire is hot and when jumped to the blue/white wire the headlights come on. Alos if the yellow wire is jumped to the blue wire, the engine runs when the gas pedal is pressed. This is only 3 wires so far — I was told I need 4 to hook to the new ignition switch.
Ok — if the gas pedal isn’t pressed — jumping the yellow and blue together still gets the engine to turn over and it shouldn’t turn over until the gas pedal is pressed. NEED HELP FAST PLEASE.

The engine is a 125cc Yamaha dirt bike engine from some time in the 70′s or 80′s and there is an exhaust pipe but it doesn’t do very much at all.
