I want to build a go cart. It could be made out of metal or any material. I really want it to have an electric motor that will allow it to go 30 to 35 miles per hour. If that won’t work i guess i can use a gas engine, but i really want to stay away from that. Thanks!

I own a golf cart that was an extra cart from a golf course. I know that there is a safety control/safety clip in the engine that automatically makes the brakes slow down the cart if your going over 20 mph. But if you take the clip out then the cart won’t slow down. I wanna know where the clip is, how long it will take to get it out and what tools I would need. I hope someone helps.
EXTRA info,
it is an EZ-GO cart
its only 1 year old
THANKS

2. if an engine must do 500 joules of work to pull a 10 kg load up to a height of 4 meters, what is the efficiency of the engine?
please show formula
3 a player uses a hockey stick to increase the speed of a 0.200 kg hockey puck by 6 m/s in 2 seconds.
how much force did the puck exert on the hockey stick?
4 a 500 kg truck is moving at 30 m/s strikes a parked 300kg car. they connect together and move foward.
what is the speed of the car and truck as they move forward (connected together) after the collision?

the engine runs fine at idle,i replaced old carb with new one thinking that was the problem,it has no gas leaks, changed oil, cleaned torque converter and lubed it, the engine will fire right up on the first pull but if u give it much gas it cuts of and trys to die

I have a 6.5 hp engine on a go-cart frame. it’s always been a pain getting it to run right. sometimes,, if you play with the choke, it’ll run good, but most times not. now it’ll only run on full choke and barely that. it’s not the fuel, i’ve replaced the sparkplug, cleaned the carb, and the air filter is clean. you have to hold down the throttle to start it.
Thanks.

I bought a new 6.5 horsepower engine for my go kart and everything went well with the engine swap but while testing it the engine stalls while turning right. However, while going left the engine runs fine. The engine has a full tank of gas and is full of oil so the automatic shut off oil sensor is not the problem. I have never encountered a problem where the engine stalls making a right turn, so any help would be appreciated.

I have been very intrigued with engines (car, plane, turbine, even go cart engines) the past few months, I know how they work and many of the deep down details. I want to build an engine, one that isn’t the best engine, maybe one strong enough to power a person sitting on a skateboard for example. I don’t want to do it as much for the continual use of it, but just to be able to say "Hey I built an engine."
Only problem is that I don’t have much of a fund to purchase quality parts, and even so, I don’t know where I would look to try and find it. I could possibly make them…but I’m guessing it would be quite tough to make a piston and those parts haha.
I’m not looking for good specks, keep in mind, but a 2 cylinder engine would be fine with me. I just want to build a working, gas powered engine that would be enough to power something small.

Hello! I am planning on building a Go-cart, but I had a question on the engine. I am looking for a 250cc 4 stroke engine at a low cost.
And what do you think the MPG would be for a 250cc 4 stroke engine? (For an ATV/Gocart)
Also what would the top speed be without the weight of a frame/chassis dragging it down? Sorry I am knew to this, currently my knowledge of automobiles is very basic.
Weight?

Not a go cart because I don’t have the skill or money to convert it to a horizontal shaft engine.

It badly needs changed, I just can’t find the drain plug. It is an older model in the late 90′s I think. It is a gasoline powered 4 cyl engine.
