I am currently working on building a homemade off road go cart. I have an 8hp brigs&straten engine. I am wondering how(if it is possible) to put suspension on it. Please help by giving me tips and link. Also, how fast do you think that engine will go with a 160pnd person.

It badly needs changed, I just can’t find the drain plug. It is an older model in the late 90′s I think. It is a gasoline powered 4 cyl engine.

I was wanting to build a go cart from a lawn mower engine, but is there anyway I could increase the power/speed of the engine? I was thinking of bolting a turbo engine to it, but I don’t know of it would work.
Any ideas?

I want to make a good go cart and I have no welding tools. I have an electrical engine but I can also try and find a good gas engine off a lawn mower. Like I said it has to be wooden unless there is a metal one without welding. I would also like that it had a braking system and steering.

I’m tring to figure out if I can put a four wheeler in to my ez-go golf cart. I would like to get more speed out of. it. I know I’ll have to change the rear end out off it if it is even posable to change the engine out.

I’m thinking of building a tiny go cart that I would barely be able to fit in, i mean it will be really tiny with 4 tires, now can I drive it on the streets? (no highway) on school campus…?
does it matter what size engine? lets say its a very small one (like a moped engine)
i’m in ohio
thanks
I’m going to use a 49cc pocket bike engine

My new motor has a standard rpm of 1400, and my old clutch (wasn’t very good anyway) that was from a carter go cart engages even in choke. So where can i find a clutch that will work well with this engine. And yes i did adjust the idle speed

I have a Baja DN150 go-cart and i had to replace the ignition switch because the old one fell apart. The new one i got has four places to connect wires and the old one only had three. The new one had the labels eng. bat. acc. and st. and the old one only had numbers. I had i hooked up once and the engine would almost start but is would slowly die. Please help.

my go cart cranks up but when i put it into run it turns off. i have heard that unstabilized gasoline left in an engine will gum up the carburetor. how do i fix this?
i used a feul treatement called sea foam. i poured about2 or 3 oz. into the gas tank, i cranked it and let it run for about 5 mins. then i turned it off and tryed to crank it again, but now it will not crank at all. did i mess up the engine by putting it into that gas tank, i think i was supposed to put it into the carb.

IT IS A BAJA BLASTER 65 AND I AM TRYING TO MAKE IT FASTER AND MORE POWERFUL BUT BY REMOVING THE GOVERNOR WONT THE ENGINE BREAK MORE EASIER

it is either a 2000 or 2003 club car golf cart and the when the governer kicks on, it makes it go really slow. I have heard about taking it off but that could over ride the engine and mess it up. Any ideas on how to make it go faster?
and if there is a way, how do you do it?
