You know the game Mario Cart for Wii? How do you earn extra roads? By roads I mean the extra tracks. I’m getting bored having to go on the same roads every time I play. How do I get more?

Ok I have a black nintendo ds lite that irony want anymore because I am 14 and I just don’t play it. It has a very small crack on the part connecting the top half. The crack is just on the Plastic and not on the sceen and you can’t notice it very well and doesn’t affect how it plays. U have the original box and charger. Plus I will add in 2 games Mario cart (newest version) and star wars Lego. Both games where like 30 bucks. I was going to sell it on eBay. How much should I sell it for?

I want to purchase a game but it is much farther out then I am willing to go. So my question is if you can go to a local Gamestop and put real cash on it. Then go to the Gamestop website, add a game to your cart, can you have it shipped to you for the same value?
Thanks.

What do you think?
From what I’ve seen, a lot of the geeks stayed geeks. For example, the short dorky guy who was picked on in high school, who grows up to be short, chubby, working at a gas station, still living at home, and spending all his time still playing Dungeons-n-Dragons type games and carting his game pieces to-and-fro in a stuffed-to-the-brim, oversized bookbag. Or the girl who lived in abject poverty and had abusive parents…usually ends up becomming a stripper and usually also a washed up alcoholic hag.
It seems to me that the only "outcasts" who have a happy ugly duckling story ending, are those that were the "smart nerds", i.e. the people that were outcasted due to their high grades but went on to M.I.T. afterwards.
But for the "unsmart nerds", no I don’t see many of them changing much from when they were in high school, they just get older and have now become an outcast in OTHER ways(e.g., instead of being dateless to the prom, they’re now still unmarried + living at home). The whole reason nerd makeover stories seem so interesting — e.g., She’s All That or "look at them now" episodes of Maury — is because it’s RARE and an anomaly.
Agree or disagree?
I guess my definition is based on general society’s definition. And yeah, the age I’m referring to is about 25-30, when the majority are getting married, having their first babies, buying homes, and minimum several years out of college/grad school.
Mulatto said: "as a geek i can tell you that the whole "the loser becomes successful and the mean jock becomes a beer gut loser" is just a story that people tell you, to make you feel better about the fact that you dont belong and are an outcast.
just like when people tell you that, someone doesnt deserve you and you can do better and, he is missing out and etc, after you get coldly rejected by someone."
Amen to that!
Miss Dementia: Actually, what I really define as an adult "geek" has a lot less to do with hobbies such as D&D, and more to do with one’s career, finances, family, and living situation. E.g., a girl who is 32, still lives at home and works at Walmart, and dateless let alone unmarried…is more of an "outcast" than a girl who is the same age, has a husband + children, good job offers in Japan, but happens to play D&D.

just like when people tell you that, someone doesnt deserve you and you can do better and, he is missing out and etc, after you get coldly rejected by someone."
Amen to that! I agree 100%! (I guess her response is the kind I was looking for)
PaoloPH: Great point. But I can do you one better — what about the OUTCASTS whose "glory years" ended at high school graduation? Where their glory years weren’t even all that glorious? Where getting picked on by peers + teachers alike is pale in comparison to the real world dilemmas they face after high school, such as not being able to find a good job, not able to scrape by on min wage, and ending up as a homeless person? Or, losing the only (equally geeky) friends they had in high school after graduation, then ending up lonely, worse off than before?

My daughter wants to play my X-Box, but none of my games are age appropriate for her. Also, I really don’t want her to mess up my system or controllers.
I did prepare for this though, and I still have my Nintendo 64. I saved it for her for when she would want to give videogames a try. I have Mario 64, Mario Cart and Pilot Wings for it, but I would like to get a few more for her. As well as some girly games. I really don’t like e-bay, and I know I’ll have to go on-line to get them, any ideas of other web sites I could get them from?

is there any way around it i played the first game when i was a kid like most of you probable did so is there any way to skip the first game and just go straight to the master quest? i don’t have my 3ds yet i won’t get it till the 6th (i hate shipping) but i just wanted to know are there any game saves out there? from what i hear the save goes right to the game cart not the sd card so it would be almost impossible to get the game save moved over. but if not a game save then are there any in game cheats? like entering zelda as your name like you did in the first zelda game or doing a certain button combination at the tittle screen? and then if not that then an out of game cheat like a game Gennie or game shark for 3ds? any info would be awesome thanks guys.

For the Welcome Back package I selected the first game I wanted and I got a sign that said something like "thanks this will download shortly" so I figured ok it worked. I went on to the pick second game option and the same message popped up after I selected what I wanted. When I went to look in my downloads menu in the PlayStation Store, Infamous and Dead Nation, the games I had selected, weren’t there, nor were they in my shopping cart. I don’t know how to get the games to download when I can’t go in and re-select them and when they don’t appear in either my shopping cart or downloads menu. They aren’t in my downloads folder in my XMB either. When I selected them, I got the pop up that let me know they would be downloading but they are nowhere to be found in my Playstation 3. I’d like to know how to fix this so I can I play these games. Much appreciated.

I think my nintendo DSi XL may be getting close to needing a trip to the Video Game doctor. I’ve encountered a handful of white screens over the past couple days plus game freezes plus rare issues of having to wiggle or pop out and pop in the game cart. I thought that the excessive powering on and off while trying to find a new town in ACWW was causing it but this morning and last night, i had a few white screens even though I settled into a town a little under a day and a half ago. While things seem to be nothing major now, i need to start saving up money ASAP to be ready for when it gets to the point of having to send it in.
Not sure if it makes a difference but i’m pretty sure it’s from the first run of dsi XL’s that were made. I got it in the mail a couple days or so after gamestop shipped them out
B4 anyone asks, i do NOT want a nintendo 3DS and will not be going for that instead. If the system’s screens and battery life were a lot better, it was bigger, and the price wasn’t so high, i would of probably traded up ages ago. And yes, i have plans on keeping up w/ my ACWW towns even if i do have to ship the system out.
I checked with mom and I got her old ds(as in old school Phat DS) and charged it up(she hasn’t played it since she got her DSi XL. The date and time are in sync to my XL in case of a sudden game system death

Nintendo took a serious stance on emulation of the SNES, despite that fact though, just type up SNES roms or SNES SPC’s and some sites pop up at the top of the list. Later I think they changed things where you could legally keep ROM’s but only of game carts you already had a physical copy of. But the sites have no ways of insuring that a person with Super Mario World, actually has the actual cart.
Did Nintendo just decided to give up on that? I have an emulator and some ROMS of games I have, just find it more convient replaying them on my computer, as I dont have room to hook up my SNES, which I dont have room for a TV with my computer desk in my den. Dont keep roms of all my games though, some games I have I wish I never had gotten, like The Rocketteer. Never got past that lame airplane race level. Should donate that cart to smash some stuff . com or something lol
Fun playing some of those old games, after reading the specs on the hardware, clock speeds of about 4 MHZ, and KB of RAM, not megs or gigs, but small kilobytes. Sound processor sequencing limited to like 16 tracks, and what some of the quality games they made with such limited hardware processing power.
Last SNES systems were made in 1999 I believe, when PC games like Diablo II became smash hits and the CD rom was even besting the N64, dispite PC’s being pretty new yet, and the PS One only a 32 bit system.
Then when it comes to SPC dumps, SPC’s are 64kb audio songs of SNES games, sites freely distribute them, and seen people use them in youtube videos. Winamp actually has a decoder to convert the spc file which is in SNES assembly into a form that a PC can play, you can then spit that SPC out into an MP3 if you like.
If some website ranked on the first page of a yahoo search ripped the sound track of a new Nine Inch Nails CD, you can bet the site would be shut down, web master sued on piracy charges, any visiters that downloaded songs there sued after IP logs of the site were taken of who downloaded what…
But seen sites distributing SPC files around for afew years now, people even using theme songs from games in videos and stuff in youtube and stuff. PC games I play now do allow using game songs in fan art/videos if its not for personal commercial gain, some even support contests making fan related videos made by players. Lots of game play videos on youtube, with themed music from games, dispite their stance on only using audio tracks that you made, unless allowed to, or risk video deletion/account termination, legality wise though…
Is Nintendo going to sue you because you put up a song from an old Final Fantasy game that you liked as a midi or MP3 on your website? You owned the game, extracted the spc, converted it to something that could play on a webpage such as a midi, wave or MP3… Lots of fan pages out there for games and even older games, with lots of screen shots, music tracks, videos, etc… Though with all the stir of people downloading MP3 albums off file sharing programs getting sued…
Where is the line drawn?
If someone makes a non commercial fan page on FF5, what are the chances of them getting a letter to report to court, with music tracks of the game and stuff. Game tips and whatnot, pictures, and info on an old classic, but not any links or downloads to the actual ROM.
Can Nintendo or the software maker that made the game that sold it to Nintendo, can they sue?

I saw the welcome back thing was now up but when I tried to download one of the games, well better explained this way. I got 1 game I wanted, went through needing to get the game 1 thing, then when it was in the cart I clicked continue shopping so I could go ahead and select the second…what happened though was the popular error that people are discussing on the forums(couldn’t post there, dunno how people are even logging in on the site, says it’s undergoing maintenance so I can’t log in) and I closed the pop up then the same error came up and I closed it as well but when I went back to the cart the game was gone along with the "game 1" thing…but I haven’t downloaded it yet! what should I do? I figured that out after selecting the second game..and it’s downloading now..should I cancel it or?…it has both of the games red on the PS store now..can I re-download or what? I don’t want to be the only person in the world that was only capable of getting 1 though

I recently purchased a ds xtreme for on an impulse. I was so impressed with the little guy, that I think I want a better card. I have trouble playing any of my backed up games (because I would only play games I own obviously) that were released after late 2008 though. It really becomes a crapshoot with the dsx team gone and no more firmware updates. I have to run an arm7 fix on just about everything released after 2006 as well.
Could anybody help me with this? I really want to be able to play a few key games that I am sick of carrying with me everywhere. The games are Scribblenauts, Super Scribblenauts, Sonic Colors, Plants vs Zombies, and the new Mario vs Donkey Kong. Is there a card that could support what I am looking for?
I am new to the whole "backup" community, but I was looking for something under that was hopefully still being actively updated and wasn’t too hard to deal with. It would be ideal if I was able to drag and drop games without messing around with patching programs and such. Could anyone help me with this?

i’m looking for a place in Annapolis that has things like a mini-glof course, lazer tag, go-carts, and little games like you get at chuck-e -cheeses, but not as childish. it doesn’t have to have all of the things but the more the better.
A good example of what im looking to find is a place like this:

i dont think so
i own an Xbox 360 and i own
Gears of war 2
call of duy world at war
call of duty 4
guitar hero ( that might be for wii )
saint row 1
so yeah Xbox 360 has tons of M games that involve gore, cussing, violence oh did i mention some games have gore Gears of war 2 has a chainsaw where you can chainsaw the enemy to peices and blood comes gushing out on the camera if you have alot of chainsawed enemy you’l have a pile of limbs. the Xbox 360 has a good Xbox live and the graphics are AMAZING1! so yeah in my mind Xbox 360 OWNS Wii and PS3.
i will explain why for wii in my mind I HAVE PLAYED THE WII im not ignorant well not totally ignorant but from what ive seen is that the page that turns on when their is no game inside the Wii is colorful, oddly shaped and looks like what a 5 year old would want, wii exercise how is that exercise your just moving your arms basicly i dont count that exercise if i want exercise il go to a gym or run outside. alot of the games ive seen are mario and stuff like that which is for all ages but is suitable for young kids. i know of a coupe M games but not much. the Xbox has more M games alot of shooter games, and alot of the shooter games are complicated to finish you may have impossible deeds you have to do and yeah.
i define hard core games as a person who can solve near to impossible feats on complex shooter games or any complex games not who can win mario cart racing. the graphics are awesome on 360 while the Wii doesnt have enough power to have jaw dropping ghrapics.
if im missing information PLEASE tell me but that is what i know. and i might have more respect for the Wii.

I have an nintendo DS, and normally wouldnt play GBA games, but I had an old cart lying round of my brothers, and thought i’d give it a go, but when I try load it it comes up with ‘gameboy advance’, then the screen goes white and nothing happens. The name of the cartridge doesnt come up either, on the main screen, it just says ‘ GBA game’
is this the game broken, or is it the DS? 0_o. My brother sold his Gameboy SP a couple of years back, so I can’t test it out……..

EDIT: It now makes the ‘touch screen to continue’ screen on my DS so faded I can hardly read it, so I assume it’s the cartridge :/
:/ im not stupid, I know it goes in the bottom slot, btw, guys. And yes, I blew on it, because I have a N64 and they have the same problem, :S, and no, it didn’t help.

In the first Gears game there was a part where you have to ride these carts and you about to go into a furnace and everything but it is soooo slow on the game so what if they made a fast roller coaster based on that one part it would be amazing. Since there is universal studios and disney land i think they need a video game amusement park

I just completed my collection of the original 9 Final Fantasy games (1&2 on a single gameboy cart., 3 on the ds, 4 on ds and gameboy, 5 and 6 on game boy carts, and 7-9 on psp.) Im now trying to decide which to go through first of 4, 5, and 6. any suggestions as to which is best? Are they all the same or are there differences other than story (such as how while FF1 is a very standard leveling system, 2 has you level the abilities.) Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
