I need to build the sail part of this project, the teacher has the car. It has to have a PAPER sail, less then 600cm sq. with a 5/16 inch dowel – is to be used for the mast. 3/16 inch dowel – is to be used for the boom. I just had my alternator replaced for my nissan sentra spec-v 2003. Before that the car service engine light has been on. Today we drove to eat out. The first thing I notice was that the lights in the dash where dimmer than usual. It was night time. On the drive back through the darkest part of the drive I stop at a stop sign. As soon as I step on the gas the car started misbehaving. Pretty much it did not want to go above 20 mph. It did not matter if I floored it or even if I change gears. If I put it in neutral and rev it it reved just fine but would not go above 20mph and was very sluggish. Further down the road the lights kept getting dimmer and dimmer eventually the airbag light came on and off intermitently. Finally the needles went crazy jumping all over the place until all indicators (gas, rpms mph) all said the car should had been off. However car was still running. eventually stopped the car for not good reason the car worked fine again. What would cause something like this

I am a non-Hispanic brown guy. In my entire life, there have been a disproportionate number of rude people from the Black ethnic group than from the White group. This is not tantamount to saying that every Black person I have met was rude. That’s not the case. But certainly, it is palpable to me that Blacks are more likely to be rude in public than are White people.

Of course, there are many great Black people I admire: the incumbent president, the first lady, Will Smith, Kerry Washington, Chris Tucker, Chris Rock, Eminem (lol), Morgan Freeman, and others. But this fails to translate into everyday experiences with many Blacks. And I am not saying Brown people are any better.

I live in one of the most urban places in North Carolina. In fact, the part of North Carolina I live in has the most number of PhDs on a per capita basis in the entire United States. And it is pretty integrated too. Here, every time I go to a Sams Club or Walgreens — literally every time — the cashier is usually Black, as do many of the staff; and they are very rude. Today, my dad and I went shopping and the Black cashier was very indifferent to us, as usual. When the cart was on the usual side, she asked us to bring it to her side in a very rude tone, because the water bottles were on the cart and she didn’t want to look at it from her usual place. I would have confronted her had I gone with my brother. But today I just ignored her and left.

It is an entirely different experience with White people. They are much more polite, even more than Brown people of my specific ethnic group. Interestingly, the city I live in is comprised 45% of Whites and 44% of Blacks (11% others). So anyway you look at my experiences — collectively or per capita — my observations still hold to some precision.

I work part time as a CNA at a pretty "fancy" nursing home around my house just for a few extra dollars and a good resume reference. anyway, as I said it is pretty up scale and I am pretty maticulous about alot of things, one is our crash carts. I know that it doesnt matter what they look like as long as they are ready to go when you need them, but our maintenence guys built them out of pvc which drives me up a wall, i think it looks too cheep for a nice place. what do you think, OCD or good thought.

I bought a Club Car golf cart from a guy in my neighborhood on April 30. He had it in the paper as a 2000, had the sell sheet on the cart as a 2000 and the bill of sale as a 2000 – price ,400 Sold as in complete working order. It turns out it is a 1996 and now the computer controller went out. a 0 part. Should i ask him to take the cart back, fix it or give me some sort of refund to odd set it being 4 years older. I have two 1973 CB175K7′s and I cannot find certain parts for them.

When I first took on the project, my intent was to rebuild one back ALL original. Then I started the never ending adventure of parts finding.

As the months went on I managed to purchase items like, tires, rims, spokes, levers, gauges, cables, fenders, lights, blinkers, switches, seat, carb kits, etc…..
The sad part is, I order all of this stuff and invest about 00 into it and then realize I cannot get certain parts for it. Airbox cover, air filters, gas tank, shocks, fork ears and so on.

I have put way too much into this to stop now. Any ideas would be great.
Service Honda and Bike Bandit do not actually have the items on their site although you can select them, add them to the cart and check out with them. Weird!
(I should have made it a cafe racer and fabircated parts for it) I might just sell them as is and recoupe some of my losses.

i am a pretty reasonable girl and i don’t go around analyzing every little smile but this just doesn’t make sense to me

There is a guy i met in marching band and he’ll talk to me me when alone but never when there are other people around. I’m in pit so we’d all talk during practice and during games and we’d all gotten really close. I tended to talk to him about sports and stuff since he was the only boy, and we both like the same teams. One day when we were moving stuff back to the truck we were both helping move the cart back to the truck and he accidentally touched my hand, barely. He brushed my hand and once he felt my hand he moved his hand to a totally different part of the cart, and he would occasionally check back to make sure I was still there barely looking me in the eyes. Also, one time we were waiting by the buses for our band parents to get back and count the people that got on the buses(as to make sure we didn’t forget anyone). His bus was parked right behind mine and we were both waiting out side our bus’s. He was the only one waiting at his bus and I was waiting with my friend at mine(she’s very small and quiet) and he walked over and stood right next to me. I turned to him and said,
"Didn’t wanna stand alone?"
and he replied,
"It’s only me and the bus driver over there and I don’t know him, he might do bad things to me."
Of course I then laughed.
I had a lot of fun with everyone in pit, but ever since marching band ended, he’s the only one who doesn’t acknowledge me any more. Everyone else with say hi when I pass them in the hall and he doesn’t even smile. Sometimes it’s like he doesn’t even see me. He said hey once when I was at my locker( it was either he said it shyly which would have been weird for him or he really didn’t want to say it) but I think he only said it because he was alone and I said hey first. The only time he ever said hey was a few days ago when I passed him in the band room but it was during my band study(study hall in the band room when you can practice or study, I was getting ready to practice) so not many people were around. Another time I was rewriting some music in the band room waiting for percussion ensemble to start with two other girls and two guys and his band was practicing there. He was playing double bass and every few minutes he would turn around and look at me. Occasionally the other guys would look back of course but he seemed to be checking to make sure I was still there or something. Also my friend said he kept looking at me today. What is wrong with this guy? Why does he talk to me one minute and the next totally ignore me? Does he like me (as a friend) at all? It just hurts because I had so much fun with him and I was kinda starting to like him….

Im not a rookie, Ive actually been doing websites and graphics for 13yrs. …but Im drawing a serious blank on installing this shopping script.
I have no script chosen, although Im thinking of going OsCommerce, or ZenCart. They seem to have the most support and findings.
I want to use my own layout on the page, I have 3 products, plus different parts for each product. A total of about 20 choices in all.
When Im doing the cart, can I more or less make the page and just insert the Code for IDs and results to the individual ADD NOW buttons? and each ADD button has its own result that it sends to the cart to tell it which product is being selected?

I havent put in a cart in a long long time, and Im at a wall.

I’m a stay-at-home-Mom. Last Thursday, I had to go to Lowe’s to get a few things for our home. My 4 mo old was asleep so I took her in her car seat and put her in the front part of the shopping cart where I normally would have my 2yr old. Because of this I had to place my 2 yr old in the bigger part of the cart because there was nowhere else to put her in order to keep her from running around the store. I would have put my 4mo old in the bigger part of the cart, but then the front part of the cart would not open up so that my 2yr old could fit. Here’s the deal. Of course being 2, my daughter kept standing up and reaching for things and I would constantly tell her to sit down. I mean I felt I did everything I could to try and keep them both safe. But as I was going slowly around the next aisle, somehow she fell out. I didn’t actually see her fall, because the babyseat was blocking her, so she probably stood up, lost her balance and fell out. But I heard a loud thud and went around only to see my daughter at 1st, rolling around on the floor holding her head. I quickly picked her up and held her asking was she ok, but there was no crying and no screaming. I looked at her and she was out of it. I was blinded by tears and kept calling her name but she never answered. I was so scared. I kept saying over and over to everyone who gathered around, "I had nowhere else to put her". She ended up being rushed to the trauma center and after several CTC, cat scans and MRI’s, she had a small bruise on the brain that should clear up on its on. She’s back to her normal self now (THANK GOD) tho she complains of a headache every so often and we’re praying no seizures ever happen. But now Lowe’s is saying they want to pay for the ambulance ride and the medical bills. I am wondering do they think I am going to sue or something. Is there something I’m missing the reason they are being so eager? I didn’t really think it was their fault, but I was going to suggest to the manager to get some bigger carts for Moms who have to do some shopping there when they have more than one small child. So what should I do? I don’t want to sue, I just want them to get better carts for Mothers who have to bring their small children with them. Should I be seeking legal counsel about this? Normally I would go to Lowe’s with my hubby, but he now works 2 jobs to keep us afloat and is not at home alot, so I have no choice but to take our 2 girls with me wherever I go to get things done.

But at other stores, they have carts to accomodate more than 1 child.

So im given 2-1/2 hour per week visits with my kids and orderd to attend a DMV Class.
When the Kids Visit they tell me mommy promised them a scooter and a go-cart if they told the judge what she wanted them to. My daughter tells me she remembers me coming home drunk and abusing them,a slew of other things that Never Ever ! happened. I tell the Judge this is Parental Alienation, She blows me off like Im making this up. So I wind up getting help for Anxiety and Depression because Im so tore up over my kids being told all these horrible lies about me. And eventually I stop seeing them because I dont feel like its good for them to see me in such a tormented emotional state, I dont want them to think that it is in any way their fault.
So 2 years later this is still going on , I havent seen my kids in a year and a half, but the X has filed for an extension, stating that I have been stalking her after court in the parking deck,which is of course untrue. And At the final Custody Trial Im told that Im Violent and an Unfit Parent and that I need a Psychiatric Evaulation before I see my kids again. oh and they talked about how the X had been so involved in the childrens lives these past 2 years and I had not. And Im like well the restraining order states that I cannot Write,Call,E-mail,Go to their School, or be involved with them other then 2 1/2 hours per week. I cant even send them a Birthday card or I’ll go to Jail.
So I guess my question is do I just Jump off a bridge, or spend the rest of my life pretending I never had kids and stay in thearapy ? I mean its obvious this DMV BS is going to play a part in me seeing my kids until they turn 18 and by then what will they think of me.
oh And this all took place in the Mecklenburg Co,NC Civil Courts, so any dads going there go ahead and find yourself a good Thearapist because your gonna need one before its all over.
Every week I would recieve a letter from her attorney stating that something took place that was not appropriate during a visitation. All untrue, I jumped through hoops and followed all the rules and everytime I went to court I was reprimanded for something that hadnt taken place.I spent 2 weeks in jail because the X filed a motion stating that I was not paying child support, when I got to the magistrates office I showed them my paystubs where 40% of my wages were being taken out for CS and still went to jail,When I got to court I was orderd to pay x’s attorney for appearing in court that day 500.00$ nothing was said about child support. Then I was fired from my 20.00 an hr Job and lost my home and my car and wound up living in a tent for 2 months. The judge told me that I lived an unstable lifestyle.

I have a friend who is super interested in fitness and really has a talent for learning about how to keep himself in shape. Unfortunately he also has some brain damage from fetal alcohol syndrome. This affects everyone differently since different parts of the brain can be harmed, but in general, people with FAS tend to have trouble with memory, math, reading, and organizational skills. However, like anyone else, people with FAS often have a few natural talents and if you go with strengths and support weaknesses properly, they can be wildly successful in their lives!

My friend is definitely not stupid. He has a quick sense of humor, and is good interacting with people. And he has been memorizing fitness routines, following up on shoes and gadgets and all kinds of different things for years now and also pays close attention to his diet…the proof that he has mastered the information is his body. He is in remarkable shape and really has a passion for it.

So far, this is just a hobby for my friend but today I asked if he had ever looked into being a personal trainer…he is currently working at Walmart in an entry level position, and he has really never thought of himself able to move beyond that because of his disability. But with proper support, he can do a lot more than push carts and move meat. He lit up when I asked him about being a trainer and I know he started looking into it. I told him I would also help find some info.

So without insulting the profession at all…I want to ask, how mentally demanding is this as a career? Are there academic classes? How long? Is it hands on learning and certification? Do you have to keep up credits? Does it lean heavy on math and reading skills? He can do both, but not lightning fast…you know? I think the goal would be working with clients in a health club and he probably would need some mentoring and some accommodations for his deficits, just like someone with any other disability. He would need to be in a really supportive setting.

Does this sound like a proper career choice for a guy with his skill set?
