I purchased a go cart for my grandchildren, gut it goes to fast. How can I slow it down so it will not be too fast for them. I tried putting a block of wood under the pedal but that did not work. I was wondering if someone knew how you could slow down the engine or something. Please help me resolve this matter so they can ride it.

i have an ez go gas golf cart that will continue to run after you let off of the gas pedal. This results in battery running down. Any suggestions

I went golfing and the golf carts they let us drive are very interesting. I think they are gas powered but the engine does not stay running.

Somehow when you hit the gas pedal the engine goes and when you let off the engine stops.

How does this work? I dont understand how it can go on and off like this.

The crazy thing about it is it goes instantly when you hit the gas there is no delay to wait for it to start.

I have a go cart with an automatic transmission. The Go Cart has a forward and reverse. I can drive it in reverse, but when I put it in forward and press the gas pedal, It doesn’t go and there’s a loud grinding noise. What could the problem be?

All i want to know is if i should use a linear, knob or some other potentiometer…

I am doing a project with some friends. we want to make a self propelled, SIMPLE, mobile awesome vehicle. we want steering in front, metal frame, pedals, etc. If you have your own ideas or links let me know! Ideas or schematics from other sites, sources or even yourself, would be useful. We hope to make it a two seater (one behind the other) with a set of pedals for both people. We could use some help because its due in a few weeks (3-5).

.i have a 6hp techumseh engine on a go-cart and im not holding down gas pedal, it will juststart leaking for no reason that i can find.. run me through steps to fix this please..thanks!!

i feel realy sorry for my dad because we bought a new go-cart the other day and he cant seem to get it to stay on. the go-cart will turn on when he pulls the string but it wont stay on for more then 10 seconds. if you press the gass pedal it will stay on but how can i fix it so it will stay on for as long as i need.
plz help him…

I have a small Ketcar go cart that i am thinking of putting a motor on the go cart for a engineering project. For all you engineers is it possible for a 14 year old kid to do this, and if so where would purchase materials for it. I have 10 weeks to finish this project and i hope that this will work out

lol this may sound like stupid and stuff but like me and my friend wanna build a Wooden Pedal cart and put seats and spy gear in it and we wanna start a spy group and stuff but i dont know what stuff i can do thats not illegal for spying cuz i dont wanna go to court for like spying on someone but we r jsut tryna have some fun so if anyone has any ideas for stuff we can do with spying liek we aint 7 years olds we r 13-14 but we wanna do somehting cool where its like climbing and all that but not something illegal and we need help and instructions how to build a go cart sized wooden pedal cart thanks also some ideas of gear and building gear

On Jon and Kate Plus 8 the episode where Kate went on a trip with the twins to a tropical area ( I think Hawaii) they were driving around a cart that instead of pressing on the gas you could peddle like a bike. This would be so cool to have.

Some golf carts’ engine start when the gas pedal is pressed. It’s off until the gas pedal is touched and then it starts. I’m not talking about electric carts, I’m talking about an engine. I’m wanting to make an engine do this and I can’t find what makes that happen. I don’t have the best of knowledge with engines but I do know how an engine works and most part names. I’ve also rebuilt my go-cart engine. If anyone can help it would be most appreciated.

Ive tried to think of a way to make the pedles but if it goes to fast, it would cut off our legs i could just make it electric but it would be harder i need a simple to build design that has brakes, steering, pedles or a engine, and it has to be big enough to fit atleast 4 people. lol i wanna go fast down a hill. (:
