Club Penguin's game, cart surfer wont let me go the right way, help?

When I press the arrow keys on my laptop, my arrow key’s won’t let me go the right way, but only on cart surfer. Any ideas on what is causing this, or maybe how to fix it?
well i know its not the game because i do cart surfer with my laptop all the time but thats happened to me before on others games and what i did
1. was go to control panel>hardware and sound>keyboard and there should be something that says check keyboard status and it should tell you the problem with the keyboard and how to fix it but make sure the that cart surfer is open when you check the status of the keyboard so that the control panel will scan the window that is open and tell you whats wrong.
2. either that or the browser you have might be slow on club penguin so the keyboard response isnt as good…if thats the problem just clear your browser cache by going to tools>internet opions>then you’ll see a browsing history and click delete and then click yes and that should do it.
