Hi, I am getting the dining plan for the first time. I would like to know what snacks i can get. My sister went and she said that the price didnt matter and they got tons of expensive stuff. Is this true? It says at Disneyworld’s website that for a snack you can get an ice cream novelty, med. soda, fruit, popcorn. Could i get the bucket of ice cream at Typhoon Lagoon’s snack cart? It costs around 7-8$. What about those Mickey heads made out of rice crispies? Big Candy Apples? Can you get any size of anyhting? Also, it says you can go get snacks at Quick Service restaurants too, but again, how do you know what snacks will work for the dining plan? THANKS!!
Obviously, the previous Answerer has never used the Dining Plan before. Disney World sets a cap of $4 per snack credit on the Dining Plan. Since you get one snack credit, one counter service credit, and one table service credit for each paid Disney World hotel night, many people use their snack credits to buy milk and cereal each morning at their Disney resort. Others have snack credits left over that they have to use up at the end of their vacation, so they buy cookies, bottled water, etc. before they leave their resort. You can use up the credits in any order that you wish during your vacation.
Many snacks that are covered in the Dining Plan are marked as such. If you are not sure which snacks are covered as a snack credit, just ask the Disney Castmember for help. If it’s $4 and under, it may very well be covered in the Dining Plan.
The Dining Plan covers tax and gratuity. If you plan to eat one table service meal per day, you will find out that the cost of the table service meal itself more than pays for the Dining Plan each day. Anyone that says that the Dining Plan is not worth the cost has not seen the food prices at Disney World lately. Currently, almost all restaurants inside Disney World accept the Dining Plan. Oh, and there are no physical Dining Plan vouchers to lose. Just don’t lose your hotel room key.
As you are probably already aware, the sitdown restaurants take reservations. Because the Dining Plan is so popular, if you try to get a table without a reservation during lunch or dinner times, then you may be waiting up to 2.5 hours for a free table. So I recommend that you book restaurant reservations as soon as you can. There is no such thing as being able to "eat whenever you want" if you plan to eat at a sitdown restaurant at Disney World during the normal meal hours.
Epcot’s Le Cellier restaurant in the Canadian area is a very popular restaraunt. If you eat there, you can sit and watch other people without a reservation constantly beg the hostess for a table. Some of the begging can be quite funny and entertaining. The Rose and Crown restaurant is also a popular restaurant at Epcot because at night, you can watch the fireworks show from a private balcony.
If you are one of the lucky ones to participate in the free Dining Plan offer, then congratulations.
Look for the carts that have the Snack symbol. If you download the adobe dining packet, you can see the symbol
Everything that is snack food can be classified as a snack. Everything that you menchoned IS a snack. They usually have them at all the restorants . The icecream and the popcorn is a snack too!

if you have 3 or more people in your party that you are buying food for, i wouldn’t do the dining plan. it is a waste of money at this point, and you will end up spending more money on buying food with the dining plan than just buying food when you want, with out the dining plan.the dining plan also restricts you from certain food items, and then you will have to pay the difference, and the tickets they give you are so small, and easy to lose. have fun! and i hope i helped!
Go to http://www.waltdisneyworld.com and then go to dinning options. You will find all the restaurants and they denote if they take the dinning plan or not. Most do. Yes, you can eat like a king. Dinners include, main course, drink and desert, way more than I would order if paying cash. The snacks differ in restaurants and hotels but in the park you can get a drink, popcorn, ice cream etc. Yes the Mickey heads, yes many of the snacks or 8 dollars or more. You can not go wrong with the plan. I would suggest you Pre-arrange arrange your meals, do fine dining, character dinning, dinner shows whatever you chose.
