Ok im starting to race and i need to know what kind of cart to get i haven't raced so i don't know much. I need like a good begging cart. I don't want a shifter cart though. I want one that has a Honda engine and that will have a bunch of upgrades and is easy to find parts for.
And should i get a sprint or endurance. And were should i buy it from?

if your running paved sprint track, the yamaha kt100 is a good kart, very economical as well. rotax is also a big series but is more expensive than running the kt100's but is still affordable compared to the shifter classes.

My sons have been racing karts for several years, and are currently racing shifter karts. They both started with KT100s. I believe this is probably the best place to start provided you are of age. It will teach you how to be smooth to go fast. With a KT100, you need to be smooth so as not to scrub off speed. Having run both shifters, and KT100s, the expense and upkeep of a many of the shifter kart engines is not much more than the expense and upkeep of the KT100. Many of the clubs now have a stock Honda CR125 class that has very little maintenance on the engine. Do not try a shifter kart until you learn how to race a clutch kart first though.

I would go for a Birel or a CRG. For sprint go for a 2 cycle they accelerate faster and for endurance go for a 4 cycle. Go to you local track and see what they have, you can also order a engine there. Ask them what they think would be best, they may have used karts there.
