    honestly it will be easier and cheaper to just buy one..
    an engine alone will cost around 500 brandnew..
    but if you wanted to build one no matter the cost…
    1. build a heavy duty frame from round cold rolled steel
    2. purchase and adapt moving suspension parts for it
    3. buy all necessary steering, seat, pedals and other components like that
    4. build a drive train for it
    5 get wheels and tires

    or what you could do is buy a cheap frame on craigslist and make custon engine mounts and make everything cheap sort of

    o and usually shifter karts are made with a honda cr80 engine
