how could i make an electric golf cart go faster with out buying parts?
with out buying other parts, when i drive down hill something kicks in and slows it down how can i remove this?
how would i make the cart faster with out buying parts, or how can i remove the centrifugal clutch?

    you essentially can’t.

Speed of an electric motor is proportional to voltage supplied.

So without buying parts (new motor, new battery or new gears) there is no way you will improve speed.

The centrifugal clutch is to limit speed to reduce the risk of rolling the cart when you turn.

    DO NOT remove it.

I2 volt system? Install another smaller 12 battery in series so you have a 24 volt system (same as the batteries in a flashlight). Of course it will burn out the motor after a while but it will go faster.

hmmm, i really don’t care for electric one bit. this is my opinion but i think u should sell the electric and buy a gasoline operated. gasoline operated golf carts are much more reliable and u dont have to wait to charge them 4 ever! just fill up and keep going. its your choice but if u dont wanna buy parts i say u sell it……and get a better one. but i do say if u end up selling, buy a quad runner. so much more fun, and can go so much farther than a golf cart could ever go. just some basic tips, make sure air pressure is up (gets higher mileage and should increase your speed, take off any extra weight such as useless tools or clubs, and keep everything lubricated, and make sure u dont have a bent axel. bent axel’s can really slow u down. (although if u have a bent axel ur in for a lot of money) hey good luck, and ill ttyl, bye

hey also putting a new battery on wont increase speed as they are programmed to only take a certain amount of power and will not burn up the battery faster. also a golf car will never run on 12 volts….. a larger battery will make u run alot longer of coarse. but remember im sure u can spend $10-20 dollars on your golfcart.

Theres a centrifugal clutch engaging. Remove it

An electric motor, of a golf cart, when rolling downhill produces an electronic current in the armature, but in the opposite direction, causing a governing effect in the motor!

If you want to go faster down hill, it would be more practical to get a bike!

    Pull them with a horse.
