You have seen people glide through them on Futurama. Although we can’t remove the gravity yet at low cost, one can introduce rider protective coating and a lubricant, together with a dual channel for those who let go of the
handles, so that they don’t obstruct other riders. See images here:

    Other things in the future, like food and love will use the tube technology. They had them on the jetsons in a few episodes. Like everything else, Groening is just a giant plagerists stealing concepts from cartoons like family guy and flinstone.

    Man, that would be AWESOME! I would ride it. It would save gas and feel like being on fair ride. What else could a girl wish for? lol

    oh and by the way…..i love that show….watch it EVERY night…last week they had an episode where the tube ended in a river, i would not want to ride that one. (the episode where it was mothers day, mom made the robots revolte)
