so i want to ship a large video game bundle via parcel post. now i know that certain post offices won’t accept packages that won’t fit through the parcel window. the only post office that will happens to be 20 mins away from home and i will have to drag it there using a mini cart. so im wondering, what are the dimensions of the parcel window because if my package can fit, itll save me a lot of trouble since i can just go to the post office behind me. (the item is heavy so priority mail is expensive)

Why not call the post office behind you and tell them the weight of the package. I have no idea why they would refuse a package. I have seen people receive packages so big they required a small tow truck. Call and hopefully it will save you a trip of traveling 20 miles away. Have you considered UPS? I find their ground delivery prices to be cheaper than most USPS priority mail prices.

Go online to the USPS webpage. You’ll have to look around because I don’t know exactly where it is. But, you can ask for a carrier pick up online. You fill out the form, it’s emailed to your local post office, they print it out and give it to the carrier on your route. The mail carrier will pick up your package at your home, for free.

The only problem is if you aren’t home during the day, you will have to leave it sitting on your porch, or where ever.
