You failed to mention the type of motor that is being used.
Normally if you are mixing oil with the gas it is intended to be used in a two stroke engine, and if this is the case well then all that has to be worried about is if the mixture is well mixed and of the proper proportions.
Back when I used to race two stroke engines we mixed the oil at 28%, now days they manufacture oils that are mixed as thin as 100 to 1. I can not imagine this but they advertise thus.

suck the gas out with a turkey baster then fill with fresh gas it will take a minute to start but it will

Just drain the gas tank and take the float bowl off. And change the sparkplug.

just dump the gas clean or replace plug really shouldnt have done anything maybe just needs a plug ive run chain saw mix gas in ours more than once when kid run out of gas never hurt ours other than plug maybe fouling out might find some great info here on tuning up kart or keeping it running me and my brother race kart a few yrs with 5hp briggs

Bummer! Drain the fuel tank completely. Pull your sparkplug and clean it with solvent, let it dry or use a lighter. might as well clean the contacts on your plug while your there. Give the engine a few cranks without the plug. Then install your plug, if it has a fuel filter, change it. Refill your tank and starter up. If it doesn’t start remove plug again and repeat the cleaning of your plug and try again. Your engine should be fine. I’ve seen this a lot in lawnmowers, you be alright…

You must drain and flush the gas tank. You must change the gas filter. When refilling the gas (with gas) add small amount of ‘dry gas’ (can be purchased in any auto supply shop). Good Luck.

remove the gas tank and clean it properly and refill it with just gas, it will take some time, but she will start

The question is what did he do?
Did he put the oil in the gas or the gas in the oil?
If he filled the crankcase with gas then there maybe some piston or crank damage. [that is if was run]
If he dumped oil in the fuel tank then drain the tank & refill with free gas. Drain the carb. remove the spark plug & give the engine a few pulls. This will help purge the cylinder. Clean or replace the spark plug. The engine will be fine from this encounter.

replace the gas it it and the plug. put 93 octane back in fuel tank that will burn any oily res. left in your head.
