I’m gonna go to albuquerque, NM on birthday, I need to know how much money my friends and I should bring each. Where gonna stay in a hotel probably for 2 nights, and were gonna go to the mall, restaurant, and maybe go to the zoo or Aquarium, and go to that one place with lazer tag, bumper carts. Were all 13 years old but only two of us are 14. Do we need an adult? Where can I get those buses that will drive us anywhere? and they can drive us to albuquerque and back home.
There is gonna be me and my other three friends.

THIS IS MY PROBLEM.
This school cop, who by the way is like a foot taller than me and he is young and intimidating is always staring at me. no joke. i have caught him but since i don’t like staring back at people i turn away really easily. once me and my sister (who works in the school) were sitting in one of the benches outside and the cop guy comes in his police car and parks it right in front of us. have no idea why he did that but he stayed in the car for like a few minutes and then went inside the school building. Like in the lunch line (there is 2 lunch lines) if I go on 1 line he moves to that line when he sees me and when I go on the other line he moves to that one. When my friends and I sit down on a table he moves all the way from one side of the cafeteria to the other. I have noticed.
Even outside when he is "patrolling" the area in a golf cart, i feel his stare.
I have not told my sister about this. I bet she won’t believe me. any suggestions?
By the way, if this helps.. I’m in Athletics. I’m a girl of course. And I am in High School. I’m just asking for ways to make this guy understand that I don’t like him, I never will and that he better stop it!
Any ways to make him stop staring? Thanks
The question before read "guy" but since I’m dealing with an "adult" I rephrased the Question.
@?-how is he gonna hide his feelings??
@?- you know? he sometimes wears sunglasses outside. when he is in the golf cart "patrolling" the area and staring at me.
Thanks to everyone who answered.

Ok well when I tell you this you probably wont believe me but I swear its all true. Well the dream started out sort of like a movie would. There was a supermarket and 3 teenagers, a red headed girl and 2 guys(one was Edward Cullen, I SWEAR!!) And they were caught shop lifting and sent out of the store. Then me and my two friends, I don’t know who they are in real life, were leaving the store and we were in the exit area, you know the part that is like glass, and all of a sudden there was this vampire guy and he was grey and flying and he went into the entrance glass area and went into the supermarket and just started killing everyone. Me and my friends were terrified so we hid behind a row of shopping carts and after a few minutes they decided to make a run for it but they were killed too, and I was all alone. I was the only one that lived and like 1000 people died. And police came but the "murderer" got away. And then I was in the hospital, not because I got hurt but I was a bit traumatized. And Edward was there and so were a bunch of nurses and an adult guy. And they were just asking me questions and acting like a psychiatrist but they weren’t. And then I was walking around a bit and they asked me where the "murderer" hurt people and I put my hand on the right side of my neck and started crying because he like bit them. And Edward just like hugged me for awhile and took care of me. I got over it within a few days. And me and Edward just kept hanging out and he was protecting me. And we drove around and like were in love. It was very strange. And he met my mom, and she adored him and he thought she was wonderful as well. So the dream started out sort of upsetting and took a turn for the better. So any ideas on what any of this means??? Because I am so confused about it!!!
Haha yes I do love the Twilight series, but I haven’t read the books in about 2 months I did watch the movie a week ago though… hmmm, lol

Okay so I am watching my sisters kids for 10 days. We combined have 14 children:
girls: 4, 6, 6, 8, 8, 10, 10, 12, 12, 12
boys: 3, 5, 7, 9
Tomorrow, we have planned to go to the local sports center. It has roller skating, ice skating, lazer tag, bowling, batting cages, and go-carts. We are all going ice skating. Then I’m letting them pick either 2 things each to do. How should I set this up? We only have 2 adults.
I changed the plans. I found 2 other adults to come with us. We are going ice skating (renting the ice thanks to a great post) and bowling (were having an older kid game, and a younger kid game with 2 adults at each. Then I let each kid pick what "team" they wanted to be on: batting cages, go-karts, lazer tag, or rollar skating (they only get one choice). Each "team" has an adult to watch the everyone.

I will have a just turned 11 year old family member visit here and because I live alone and I am the only 1 with room and time ( I happen to be on work vacation), he will be staying with me. Ive never met him, all I know is that he loves animals. What’s the best ways to entertain him????? I want him to have lots of fun. He says he is excited to go places.
My ideas are the zoo because he loves animals, or do you think that is too childish? I love the zoo as an adult so I dont know
The beach
Entertainment place (for older kids, than say Chuckee Cheese) it has the tokens/tickets/games, but then also go-carts and smaller carnival rides
Downtown for a boat ride and firework show
What else??

I am 16 years old visiting family in New England for the summer. I stay mostly with my aunt to help her with a hot dog cart. It was cool the first few weeks sitting at the cart, slow business. I help her lug heavy signs, coolers, stock, ETC on and off a truck, I clean the cart and tables, I do what she tells me to, I do almost everything but serve customers. The reason is because I’m shy and I don’t feel comfortable around strangers. I try to talk to a few of them but I can’t talk right.. I stutter a lot and I can’t exactly form a sentence correctly unless I’m with someone I’m comfortable with. My aunt started to get the impression that I am lazy. A man that visits the cart a lot joins my aunt, telling me how I’ll be a waste to society, how I’ll be a trophy wife someday, and how I’ll get nowhere in life when I’m an adult. She takes every little thing I say and mistakes like it will shape my future. These comments make me uncomfortable, so I start to stutter. She tells me I’m not going to make it through college which just hurts a lot.. I’m afraid of telling her she hurts me because I have a risk of more negative thoughts through her head. I either get sympathy or just probably be hurt more often. I seriously don’t know what to do..

I mean I really can’t even get up in the morning cause I dread hearing the awful comparisons my dad will make on the morning and like. just all the nagging. he’s always been like this. but after graduating high school I felt a lot of guilt for the things I felt about him and felt like it was unjust,,, I wanted to you know.. have relationship w him. that’s why I moved bac. but now I’m the one who is getting affected… my confidence in myself has declined significantly and I can’t even get out of the bed. I really like hate existing right now lol to be dramatic. not suicidal or anything like that. What I’m looking for in a chair:
-comfortable
-not huge (its going in my bedroom), but big enough for an adult
-not a desk chair, but something that reclines or has a foot rest/stool
-fits the color scheme of my room, white/black/brown/tan/pink
-something that is compatible with the laptop cart I’m also buying ( http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-4/qid=1250566948/ref=sr_1_4/192-4682127-1470228?ie=UTF8&search-alias=tgt-furniture&frombrowse=0&pricerange=&index=target&field-browse=1038614&asin=B001U1W5NS&rh=k%3Alaptop%20desk&page=2 )
I’m willing to spend a considerable amount of money if it’s a nice chair.
Thanks guys

Help
8 turning 9 birthday party in Orlando suggestions desperately needed?
The most economical thing would be to hold it in our home – but that is ABSOLUTELY not an option. The weather is scorching outside, so if we were to do something outdoors it would have to include water. Blow up Waterslide at home, again, would be perfect but not an option. We’ve done bowling, Chuck E Cheese, go carts (first birthday outside and kids were dying). The theme parks are all asking + per kid, not to speak of an adult so that’s out of the question. I’m kinda stumped. Thought about doing a Bakugan thing, but not all kids have/or are into that – there’s approx a total of 6 kids + 4 siblings and 5 adults. At a complete loss this year – its for next month. Maybe Wekiva Springs nature thing, my kid likes to fish – but other kids might think it lame? Any Ideas?

Let me adduce some more background facts. I am an immigrant from a European country and my skin color is white. I’ve lived in the U.S for less than 7 years and I recently moved into a predominantly black area after having lived in white suburbs. The incident happened at my local Walmart where I was almost assaulted by a mid-aged black man (slightly taller than me, ordinary build). I returned to my car because I forgot some plastic bags when I saw this black man dump his shopping cart next to my car. I instinctively asked him if he was just going to leave his cart there where it could damage my car. I guess he didn’t hear me because he sat down in his car. His kid, a young black girl (age probably between 10-12) came out with a second cart and I so I asked her the same question. No answer, she just dumped the cart.
So I start walking back to the store thinking it wasn’t worth any more effort and the father suddenly storms out of the vehicle shouting and yelling. He is very agitated and he rapidly walks up to get in my face "yeah I am gonna leave the cart, watcha gonna do about it?". I immediately turn around and walk away to avoid any physical confrontation like a civilized person. He keeps shouting obscenities "walk the walk mother f**er" and I am completely shocked. I didn’t know if I was going to call 9-11 or what. I was afraid he would vandalize my car.
I am a peaceful person, I resolve my conflicts with words. I haven’t been in a fight since grade school and I am not built for fighting. I am scholar, and I’m going placed once I’m done with graduate school. I’ve been told that I galvanized him when I confronted his child but in my culture it is common to correct other children as an adult. I wasn’t disrespectful, I simply asked a fair question.
I want to know why black people are ostensibly incapable of resolving conflicts with words. Why do they feel the need to fight all the time? I’ve lost all my respect for black people after this conflict and I’ve begun working out. I plan on buying mace and possibly taking self-defense classes so next time I won’t back down. The problem is I used to be at peace but now I am angry all the time. I don’t want to feel such resent towards black people.
Any input especially from members of the black community would be appreciated.

Okay, my sister went off and married this guy (after becoming pregnant) that she met at Dillons like, 5 years ago. She was 17ish. Her whole life, she messed up. She chose to. Her parents (my mom) were divorced. Everytime she didn’t get her way, she’d be like "Okay, I’m gonna go to Dad’s then!" so she’d get her way. Through her childhood AND teenage years. Now as an "adult" she has left him with me and my mom. HE IS TERRIBLE. He is rediculously smart. He knows how to do something and get away with it, just like his mom. Like, he can fake trip. Or fake laugh. Or barge into conversations. Or lie. Or act like he knows everything. He is adorable, I’ll admit, but his personality, my GOD. And hes like, 5. He will scream just so people think I hurt him. he makes me want to HURT HIM. I can’t even describe the way he acts. Normally, I love kids. I think they are soo sweet and angelic. But he isn’t. If hate wasn’t so frowned upon, I would hate him.
My mom? She is BLIND to this. My family that has seen this side of him, think he is awful. My mom is really close with her sister, and I talked to her, and she thinks my nephew is going to be a really good criminal. She wasn’t joking. They would agree to every word of this. My mom sees him as a perfect child. I don’t even know what to do anymore. Today, I went grocery shopping with him, my Mom and my friend. He would take random things, plop them in the cart, and my mom wouldn’t care. Sometimes she’d be like " no, put it back." but he’d be like "NOOOOO I WANT IT!!" and she’d be like *sigh* okay…
I hate it sooooo much.. even my friend thought it was rediculous. He gets everything he wants. Anything. I try telling my mom about my feelings, and she thinks I’m talking back. I can’t even talk to her without getting in trouble. My dad screams at me about everything.. so I can’t talk to him. One time when I did, he told me "I know, but we just have to ignore it."
I.Am.Done.Ignoring.This.
I need some serious advice..
p.s. My mom wants family counceling. THATS FUNNY, maybe if she wouldn’t be doing this, we wouldn’t have a problem. I feel like she loves him more than me. I’m told that isn’t possible, but my Lord, she acts like it….

My son will be 13 in a few months and he still wets the bed almost every night. According to halacha, he’ll still become an adult whether there is a ceremony in shul or not. But he certainly isn’t a "man" if he still wears diapers to bed. I’m sure you can imagine how I feel having to buy him "goodnites" at the supermarket. I fill up the cart with other things, then go to the diaper aisle, look around to make sure no one can see, then I put the goodnites in the cart under other things. Is taking away his bar mitzvah an acceptable punishment? Of couse, he can have the party as soon as he starts waking up dry.

Well just to shorten the story….It was a very nice day outside and I had a trail ride planned with two other friends – One adult, one 13 yr old. The horses were behaving very well for the first part of the ride but then the first horse in line got spooked by a guinea hen which sent my horse (in the back of the line) galloping back for the barn. I had kicked out my stirrups just for the safety of not being dragged. There were three very steep and rocky hills I would be going down so I basically just slid myself off my saddle and I fell into some soft dirt,,,near some rocks,,,and I think that’s what broke my femer. So they the emts had to take a mule (like the golf cart kind) out to get me because I was about a mile out.
I was transported about 20 mins away to a hospital. The doctors put a transportation splint on my leg and took x rays. Then I was transported about an hour and fifteen mins away to a different hospital that could do surgery on my leg…my splint was changed there and the next day I had surgery – have a plate and 7 pins in my femer (thats what I broke).
So what horse related things could I do when I can walk better on crutches? Theres a dover saddlery near me but it has 4 levels and the stair cases are pretty long. I don’t think I should be near horses on crutches that much just because I can’t move around too fast on them. So any ideas?

I’m planning on building a simple wooden cart, capable of carrying a 200lb person over asphalt and possibly dirt roads. It can be either 24V or 36V and I know that would require 2 or 3 12V lead-acid batteries, which will add to the weight. I can get two 350W motors on eBay for around each, but I don’t know if 700W will be enough. Speed isn’t much of an issue, and I wouldn’t mind having to gear them down for around 20mph.
tl;dr Is 700W enough for an adult go-cart?

Dannon Yogurt has a TV ad for it’s "Lite & Fit" single serve yogurt product, showing a young-looking blonde female shopping with a cart in the grocery store. When she happens by some Lite & Fit yogurt, she can’t help herself, opens it, and immediately SCARFS IT ALL DOWN….then looks around to see if anyone saw her as she smiles a slightly guilty but devilish smile.
It’s called PILFERAGE…also known as STEALING. And while it may be fun or even funny to the kids and even adults who do it (as this ad promotes), it is very expensive to grocers and ultimately every shopper in the form of higher prices on everything to make up for what was stolen.
What is shocking about this Dannon ad is how they make this young blonde shopper look so cute and appealing…as if this little trick were something eveyone should do if they’ve never tried it before, i.e. eating groceries in the grocery store aisle before you’ve bought them. The Dannon people COULD have included a quick clip at the end, showing the blonde paying for the empty yogurt pack at check-out — but NOOOOOO!!! That would be TOO RESPONSIBLE, now wouldn’t it?
You don’t have to be a grocer or grocery store employee to respond to this question in that pilferage affects everyone. And in these days of rising food prices, this is one unacceptable behavior that CAN be reduced if everyone gets with the program. Why does Dannon feel it operates outside the normal range of legally acceptable behavior in promoting, in essense, shop lifting?
Did you catch this particular point when you saw this ad? And did it bother you even a bit? And how many kids now are going to copy cat this behavior, their now seeing even an ADULT scarfing down food or quick eats at the grocery store?
To Responder "Do Not Buy a Kia": Your charge for me to not be supposedly cynical of Dannon Yogurt (and I’m not) is humorously ironic, given your VERY NAME here on Yahoo! Answers which charges people to not buy a particular brand of car. In your support of pilfirage at the grocery store just because so many others do it, you basicly support shop lifting and don’t care that you yourself pay for it in terms of higher prices. Or did you think it through quite that far?

My daughter is only 21 months old, but I talk to her like she’s a real person, lol. I don’t joke around with her like she’s an adult or anything, but if she does something wrong I get down to her level and talk to her level-headed with a stern voice, I don’t scream at her, I don’t automatically result to punishment, I give her chances and choices. But yet I’m told she’s being spoiled by this??
She’ll get a little swat on her butt or hand if the moment really calls for it and she also gets time-outs, but becase I don’t automatically resort to strict punishment I don’t know anything about parenting because I’m a first time parent? My daughter is able to walk with me when we go shopping, I don’t have to keep her in the cart the whole time because she minds, she doesn’t throw herself on the floor whenever I tell her "no" for something whether we’re in public or at home. She is a very smart, level-headed child for only being 21 months old, but yet I’m told I’m not at liberty to give anyone parenting advice because of her age and she’s my first child.
I don’t push my beliefs on people and I’ve never told anyone they’re a bad parent at all, I just believe my way of parenting is working for my child. Am I crazy?
PS- I’m very thankful that she’s as well behaved as she is, I’m 32 weeks pregnant! lol

& I’ve been doing a bit of research of what kinds of questions they ask. I want to be as prepared as possible. How can I answers this question best?
What would you do if you saw a couple in the store with a child standing up in the cart? Pretend I am the adult. How would you approach the situation from beginning to end?
Thanks so much. All answers will be greatly appreciated!

Kinda long..but I need advice please!!!!!
My daughter will be 3 in a few months. Most of the time she is just so sweet. HOWEVER, sometimes she can be bossy and rude.
In the store..a man talked friendly to her. She spoke to him for a few minutes..then all of a sudden she SHOUTED "DON’T YOU TALK TO ME!!"
Today in the store a little girl was sitting on the floor, my daughter yelled at her "STAND UP!!!"
The man was bagging our groceries and putting them in the cart for us..my daughter shouted to him"DON’T YOU TOUCH THOSE BAGS!!!"
About the man talking to her. I told her to "be nice" NOW..I don’t really like that I said this. Because I believe we as adults teach children too much to "be nice" "respect your elders" "don’t talk back" This isnt really good…because if a time comes to where an adult oversteps their boundries with a child…(abuse) that child should know that they can..be rude…shout..scream..the child doesn’t have to be polite to these adults. And I want my daughter to know that. If we always say "be nice" then when the child is in danger…they won’t know to try to defend themselfs or fight back.
NOW..this man in the store wasnt overstepping his boundries…he wasn’t getting close to my daughter…wasnt touching her. HOW DO I TEACH THAT SHE NEEDS TO BE POLITE IN GENERAL..BUT CAN STAND UP FOR HERSELF IF SHE NEEDS TOO???
About the girl in the store…I told my daughter..that the girl can sit down if she wants to. She is allowed to sit because it’s her body. Just because you want to stand up, doesn’t mean she has to also.
About the man bagging our groceries..I told my daughter that the man is being very nice to bag our things..and in order to put the bags in the cart…he has to touch them. He is helping us.
SOOOOOOOOO…anyone else going through this?
Anyone know what to do???
Thanks.

Cannot figure these out.
Mary took her children and some of their friends to an indoor amusement park. She bought 3 tickets to ride the go-carts and 4 tickets to play a game of bumper bowling. The total for those tickets was .75. If a ticket to play a game of bumper bowling was .75 less than twice the price of a ticket to ride the go-carts, figure out the cost of a ticket to ride the go-carts and the cost of a ticket to play a game of bumper bowling
Diana is spending ,827.25 on plane tickets. Round trip fares to Hawaii are 6.76 for adults but only one third that price for children. If she buys 25 tickets altogether, how many adult tickets and how many children tickets will Diana buy?
