anyone have a go-cart frame…..i need one….a big one

looking for a good online place to buy go-kart parts for a good price; i am on a budget. hopefully i get this "92 invader sprint cart frame i want. i am pretty new to the sport and plan on building one up. any help would be useful, thanks!

k so i have a project due tomorrow and i need some help. i have to make a cart that stops on a dime (the middle of the cart has to stop on the dime). i have the basics of the cart (frame) but i need to find a creative idea to make it stop after it roles down a 1 m ramp and travels 3 m. i already have the string idea (but thats the final idea i can go with) any idea on a stopping mechanism? thanks(:

I have a 6.5 hp engine on a go-cart frame. it’s always been a pain getting it to run right. sometimes,, if you play with the choke, it’ll run good, but most times not. now it’ll only run on full choke and barely that. it’s not the fuel, i’ve replaced the sparkplug, cleaned the carb, and the air filter is clean. you have to hold down the throttle to start it.

I am building a go cart frame out of steel but i would like in put a body on it so i can drive in the cold but I wasnt sure of weather or not I could weld sheet metal to steel or even if I could weld sheet metal at all?

I have a GX160 Honda 5.5 engine on a Go-cart frame… It dies when I turn right, I dont know why but It completely dies. I can turn left hard, and its fine, but if i turn right I have to restart it. How do I fix it?

…and u put it on a go cart frame, then added another jet engine with the same amount of thrust would it double the amount of thrust and speed? If so could u add wings and an outer shell so it is aerodynamic and can fly around like an airplane, and no i do not want to buy one, nor do i want to buy an ultralight.

I have an old jlo 400 snowmobile engine and I am putting it on my golf cart frame. The engine has a starter and a coil and three wires coming out of the block. One going to the coil and the other two just hanging there. I have the old ignition but not sure of the proper wiring. If anyone can help I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you in advance.

I am trying to build a go cart frame thats able to handle a 600cc engine, what size welder am I going to need?

Could a begginer use it with ease? Its the only thing i could afford and could it weld steel pipes together to make a go cart frame?? How do you weld?

I’ve got an old edger which is crap but the 2HP engine is still good. And I know where I can get a go-cart frame with a bad engine. Should swap over with little modifications but 2HP is probably not enough. How can I or is it possible to gain more HP without major engine work?

i have a go kart frame that i found and i have a weed waker engine that is 2 stroke(of course) but i was wondering if i put that engine on there would it be fast? not really low end but top end, would it atleast get to 30 mph? the go cart frame is about 4 feet long and about 3 feet wide.

im starting to make a go cart and im going to get a go cart frame but want to use my 5.5hp lawnmower engine so i need to know how im gunna make it work. any ideas let me know.

i have a custom go cart frame and i put a brigs and straton 5 hp engine on the back then for my rear axle i put a bar with bearings on each side of my frame and slid the bar through them. the i put a sprocket on the bar and welded it on (the sprocket has about 20 teeth so its kinda big) finally i put a size 41 chain on it from the engine to the sprocket. the engine is above the sprocket so the chain is going down. its about 16 or 17 inches away from each other (the cluthch on engine and the sprocket. but my problem is that it will barely move when someone gets in it but when i jack it up and turn on engine it spins fine any suggestions? (ps the chain is farely tight but not too tight

how do you put an engine and stuff in a go cart frame and make it go.

I am taking small engine repair at my school 2nd period. I barely know jack about engines (i know how they work and a few basic things) but not nearly enough to work on them. I bought a 5.25hp briggs and stratton lawn mower engine from a guy not to far from me for . He said it worked fine last time he started it up. It looks in excellent condition and if it doesn’t run, I’ll fix it. I bought it for school to break it down (fix it if it is broken, which i doubt) rebuild it, and put it back together. I was planning on buying a go cart frame and simply mounting the engine on and driving around the neighborhood this summer after i take the course. I just realized after reading up on go carts a bit that I grabbed a VERTICAL crankshaft 4stroke motor. I can’t put it on its side because well, it will mess it up. It it were a 2 stroke motor i could, but its a 4stroke so i cant. Any advice on how to mount that? i know it can be done but not sure how. Any good books on building go cart frames/steering/braking? all the components to a go cart. I’m trying to find out where to take a welding course so i can just make my own dam frame. But then i would need gas/brake pedals, tires (easy to pick up, heard of craigslist? lol) and a steering collumn. I could buy one (i have two jobs) but i’d much rather get down and dirty and build it myself. any advice or good books/courses to look into are appreciated. I live in blue springs, MO…so…no tech courses or welding classes in san diego lol

I am mechanically incline but not too keen on transmissions so bear with me.

I am doing some custom fabrication type thing into a golf cart frame type setup. We will be using a 1.0 geo/suzuki motor. I need a 5 or 6 speed RWD manual transmission that will work with this set up. Finding the right transmission we can make an adapter plate for such as a T56 or a tranny out of a 240sx is not the problem. The problem is we will be mounting the engine and transmission behind the driver, connecting to a rear axle in the back. Like a usual setup except again, the transmission will be mounted behind the driver/passenger cab. So in order to do this setup, I would need to build some custom shifter linkage. Which is just measuring and fabricating. Thats the easy part.

From doing some research, I noticed that all RWD manual transmissions I have seen have the shift linkage connection on the top of the transmission where you would mount a shifter as most of these transmissions are usually mounted underneath the floor pan.

My question is, are there any RWD manual transmissions that also have a linkage on the side or something along those lines so I can attach a custom linkage to a shifter mounted in the drivers/passenger cab? Please let me know. Also, please answer the question and not saying anything about my project. Thanks so much!

Can anyone though tell me which transmissions they have in mind? Any of these transmissions would be easier the make an adapter to fit to this engine than others? Any transmissions you would consider light-weight? I was lookng at older transmission such as from the 60′s but they would be too heavy.

its a honda motor and it drives a belt but the go cart frame i have is chain drivin where can i buy a converter??? to make the belt chain driven

i made the go cart frame myself and then i built up my go cart and put on a 18.5 hp lawnmower engine and it goes about 70 mph top speed i also have seat belts, turn signals in the front and back, brakes, brake lights, and headlights i put about 2 years of work into the go cart and i think it would be pretty cool to make it street legal so is there anyway i can do this?
Anybody have some (USEFUL) information?
