im trying to make an awsome trail/mudding toy out of my old gocart

I have a 96 pontiac sunfire gt. 2.4 Lt. I have recently had quite a bit of problems with my car. one of the hoses to the transmission broke and all of the transmission fluid leaked out. i replaced two hoses. (the one that was broke and one that looked like it could use being replaced). Before this went down it had always had a check engine light on and when checked, it showed up as a thermostat problem which i kinda ignored until now. So, I changed the thermostat. Now this is what the problem is now. When I drive the car it has a lot of trouble accelerating and idles odd. I somehow got up the courage to take it to an auto parts store down the road. When i finally made it there after a lot of stressful chugging along like a gocart, i had noticed that the thermostat did work. In fact, i guess it worked too well because the temperature guage showed that it was almost in the red even though I had not used any heat or air and it was comfortable outside. When I got the car scanned, it read that the temperature sensor, MAP sensor, the idle sensor, and multiple cylinder misfire. What could be wrong with this car? I replaced the spark plugs and I dont think that the car is running any better. It could just be my imagination but it seems like the engine is making more noise than ever and guzzling gas more. Those two could just be my paranoia. Could these sensors really cause this many problems and if so where are they located and what can I do? Any info will help. Also if anybody has had any problems similar to this what did you do about it? Thank you

durring the school year i have them every other weekend.
durring the summer i have them full time with some weekends they go with mom.
I want to make something togather that they will be proud of like a gocart or something.

i have a fox lxt gocart and when i was rideing it awhile back even though i was floorin it it slowed down to about 2 miles an hour so i pushed it home opend up the motor case only to find a belt shredded, the belt got thrown away and i have noidea what this belt would be called any ideas on what belt this is?

Is it a boxcar, im not really sure. I want to build sometype of gocart(without engine) 2 seats and some type of braking system for some large hills in PA where i live. can anyone help.

Alright so I put a honda sl100 engine on a gocart and it wouldn’t spark soi hooked a battery up to the wiring and used a test light to get power through the wires and eventually to my engine/sparkplug. There is electricity going in the coil and then back out to the condenser and then down into the engine to the points. When I first did all this wiring, the spark plug sparked everytime I kick started the engine. Now, it quit sparking and I didn’t change any of the wires around. (The sparkplug is new). when we had it on the dirtbike frame we had to pull start it so idk if just kick starting it isn’t turning the flywheel fast enough and producing enough electricity or what? should we try pull starting it and dropping the clutch to see if that gets it going like we did on the dirtbike? just give me some ideas please!?!?!?!?

i need some help lol. my gocart runs PERFECT as far as the engine goes. but when i rev up. the power is VERY low. takes forever to get going. i just replaced the belt . but it might be the wrong size?i belive it is. or do you think its a bad clutch? i bought a 1 non ribbed belt. 27 in. bu i belive it should be a 3 ribbed 27 in. i was just wondering if the lack of power is coming from the belt or a bad clutch. by the way. the clutch still functions proplery as far as i can tell.

Its a 250cc gocart and still turns but just wont start. Is there any hope for this engine and what are some things to look for?

I’m 15 and I love video games like cod and stuff like that I have my own gamertag and I beat all the guys and I love gocarts, dirtbikes,and that all that stuff. and I have my own gocart. I don’t realy like shopping verry much either.so would that turn you off that I like that stuff and that I’m not that girly. But I’m not like some ugly tomboy like I said before I do model. But I do like makeup and my fav colors pink. So would that turn you off that I’m not girly?

i have a small 1 seat gocart with an engine that only goes about 20mph and i think it might be a lawnmore ingine or something how much would be a carborater?

This is becoming more and more of a problem as the kids get older. I find the older my oldest gets the more she is learning her interests and passions, she wants a race car and really loves riding go karts and wed love to get her one. The problem is I feel like we often buy her really cool things on bdays and holidays and we try to buy #2 big things too but A- we really struggle to think of a big item that she even will have an interest in and B- It hard to fork out the extra cash in the first place much less for something #2 doesnt even want. They are only 1.5 yrs apart (almost 4 & the other is 5) My youngest is still a baby. I thought about waiting until Christmas but Ill still be struglling to find an equivalent gift for 2, (not to mention thats 3 kids and would get pretty pricey.) I also have the problem that when I do think of something for #2 they end up just sharing it and she lets first born do more cause shes better – Id have them share the gocart but #2 just isnt that into the concept and shes not old enough either. It sucks because #2 shares everything cause the age and #1 gets her own special gifts cause they are -too hard for #2s age -#1 has stronger interests – sigh hope this all makes sense I have racked my brain on this for the last year and the older they get Im afraid the harder itll get (hopefully Im wrong and gets easier)

the belt seems to be made of leather and on one side has some like rubber grooves that start off small and get bigger it basicly got shredder last time i was driving and had to push the gocart about a mile or so home in 100 degree F weather

Im 14 but know a great deal about mowers so dont think im just some stupid kid… im building a racing lawnmower out of a murray mower frame … im scrapping the tecumsea on board and i have a 12 hp b&s i/c with the govenor removed… i used the one piece flo jet carb on it instead of the factory lmt so i could have a bigger barral with and have a cold air intake system i reversed the stacker pully and will put a 3 inch pully on the tranny. I welded a bracked icut off of a gocart for throttle lever mounting and strait piped the engine with metal pipe… im working on rewiring it so i wont have any traces of an interlock system. I could use any ideas pics diagrams or any other mods … thanks

I keep hearing how great Seafoam is and was thinking it might be a good idea to try some in a 5 h.p. Briggs & Stratton engine on my gocart. This engine is now 14 years old and has ONLY ever had oil and plug changes. I am hoping this will clean it out and bring back some extra power it might have lost over time?

My plan is to build a gocart that has independant suspension so it can go off road easily. I want a four seater but I would rather have a two seater if the extra size decreases handling or stability(and by stability I mean it wont roll easy ). I need a gocart that is almost like a four wheeler (in the sense that it is small)but has a verrrrry quiet, low profile muffler even though it will lower my power. I want it to look and sound like a kids(small) gokart so no one will know the power I have unless I start roastin’. I want it to be as stable as possible so it wont roll( wide compared to skinny) I want neumatic airbags so I can tilt my kart and drive on a hill. I need help with figuring out what kind of parts I will use (ie. how big of axle what engine how much it will cost) how to make it have a low center of gravity and be very stable, how to incorporate all these parts, and your own modification Ideas. any help is greatly needed and appreciated

battery has a good charge.
Solonoid box just clicks but will not start engine.
Pull start will not start engine either.
My dad checked the spark plug wire and there is no currant coming from the spark plug wire. This is a brand new just assembled 50cc gocart and I don’t know what else to do, Im getting no response from customer service from the company I ordered it from. Any suggestions? My son comes home in a couple of days from his dads and this was to be his birthday present but I have no idea what to do!

I want to make a engine powered by a 250lb car air compresssor. i want to make a gocart or somthing.
im 13 and want a ride. i read you can use a car battery to power the compressor. i have two from trying to fix my old lawn mower.
my neighbor is a engine guy. he used to own the junkyard up the road. he’ll fix broken mowers and sell them in his yard. he showed us a shriner cart he has with a mower engine. he elling it and said i wouldn’t want it because it always needs repair… should i get it anyway… its really fun.
i mean with no fuel at all. the air turns a turbine, witch turns the wheels!!!
the compressor is powered by a battery.——
—-it will work like a windmill. when you blow it spins. seal outside to prevent escaping air, attach a axle to the hub, put in some gearsand wheels and whola!!! wont have much torque, but might work.
