Hello. I have a 15 month old and she has quite a few teeth (about 12) and I’ve been cleaning her teeth with a child safe baby finger toothbrush (that you can get at any Babies R Us) since she began teething. I am now wondering if I should be using something else to kill any bacteria in my little girls mouth? Now that she is eating the same food we do, and like any baby, things go in her mouth after being exposed to many germs (after touching toys, shopping carts, etc…), how do I get her started on the right track for good oral hygenine? We all know that brushing your teeth without anything loosens the bacteria. Toothpaste & mouthwash helps us adults kill the germs in our mouths. What can I use that is safe in my little one’s mouth? Any suggestions???

Help with this dream, I swear I'm not making it up!?

Ok well when I tell you this you probably wont believe me but I swear its all true. Well the dream started out sort of like a movie would. There was a supermarket and 3 teenagers, a red headed girl and 2 guys(one was Edward Cullen, I SWEAR!!) And they were caught shop lifting and sent out of the store. Then me and my two friends, I don’t know who they are in real life, were leaving the store and we were in the exit area, you know the part that is like glass, and all of a sudden there was this vampire guy and he was grey and flying and he went into the entrance glass area and went into the supermarket and just started killing everyone. Me and my friends were terrified so we hid behind a row of shopping carts and after a few minutes they decided to make a run for it but they were killed too, and I was all alone. I was the only one that lived and like 1000 people died. And police came but the "murderer" got away. And then I was in the hospital, not because I got hurt but I was a bit traumatized. And Edward was there and so were a bunch of nurses and an adult guy. And they were just asking me questions and acting like a psychiatrist but they weren’t. And then I was walking around a bit and they asked me where the "murderer" hurt people and I put my hand on the right side of my neck and started crying because he like bit them. And Edward just like hugged me for awhile and took care of me. I got over it within a few days. And me and Edward just kept hanging out and he was protecting me. And we drove around and like were in love. It was very strange. And he met my mom, and she adored him and he thought she was wonderful as well. So the dream started out sort of upsetting and took a turn for the better. So any ideas on what any of this means??? Because I am so confused about it!!!
Haha yes I do love the Twilight series, but I haven’t read the books in about 2 months I did watch the movie a week ago though… hmmm, lol

Why do older women like to be rude to teenage girls? Why do they hate us so much?

Sometimes from adults, ESPECIALLY women, i always get rude glares and comments because i’m a teen.

like last night, around 11:30 i was walking home from a party, and i was walking downd my street. this lady was walking across the road to her other neighbor and when she got to her, she just totally turned around and stared at me.
i was just like "=)?"
and she kept staring at me and gave me the rudest look, then she kind of did the whole head shake "whatever b*tch your not worth my time" and turned around to talk to the other person.

what the hell??

and the other day i was outside of walgreens, and i was trying to fit in one of those tiny carts, and when i got in i couldn’t get out and my friend was trying to get me out etc you get the point haha
and there was a lady who walked by and she was like "OH, I BET YOUR PARENTS ARE PROUD!"
????

those are just two of the numerous similar events that have occured..

really though, what the hell is up with that?
it’s basically all of the older women who say rude remarks, give me nasty glares…
plus some women even do the whole thing when you were 12 years old, and you had low self esteem and it made you feel cool to go around and giggle and obviously talk sh*t about them right in front of the other people?
Haha, sorry for the horrible grammar by the way.
I’m reading my description and I sound like I’m on crack.
nahh, i don’t want to be rude back and stoop to their level.

and tom,
relax. we’re just having fun and trying to stay young for as long as we can. sorry your so bitter, you sound like a very unhappy person.
by the way, when we were in the shopping carts we were OUTSIDE of walgreens in the parking lot.
baby i need you bad-
well of course people would look at YOU like a retard since you’re 21 lol
and i’m 15.
and there’s quite a gap in our ages, so we probably have a different perspective of fun..

I want to set up Presta Shop to my website (I don't have a shopping cart). I think I'm over my head!!! Help me?

I have created my entire website and I need to add a shopping cart to it. I’m trying to go the free route, and researching shopping carts has got my mind all twisted. I’m in no form a web designer, but I didn’t think adding a cart would be that difficult. I was wrong! I just need a simple cart for retail items for product, price, quantity (always one since it’s a second hand store), shipping info. I’m trying to get this integrated with my paypal account. Any suggestions or does anyone know someone that could help me?

Overly protective for my son?

My son is 17m old, he does not go to daycare and I get crayzly worried when he gets around other kids which is rare. I always keep him super clean and dont let him touch anything or play with anything that is not his! I see kids chewing on shopping carts and sneezing all over everything and I just have nightmares.

I know my son has germs and that is not what I am afraid of, but I was in the doctors office. My son was getting his shots, a mother of 2 girls brung out her sanatizer and said" no dont touch him he has germs" and they looked dirtier than my kid! I was so outraged that I told the woman my kid was not nasty.

Am I taking it to far? Should I relax? Or am I doing nothing wrong?

What's With Me and My Dreams?

I have extremely wacky dreams, and I tend to remember all of them. As it turns out, not everyone can remember their dreams. Well, here is an example of a dream I had a few years ago:

I was looking at the main menu for a video game, and when I clicked "Play", I was IN the game with a bunch of other people my age I had never seen before. Apparently, we were looking for this villain that looked kind of like a genie, was dark blue, and could freeze anything. So me and these people were walking up this hill, when a helicopter flew overhead. It started to touch down on the ground – almost right on top of me. I fell over facedown, and then the pilot of the helicopter spoke to me through some microphone. He said, "He’s gone." (I assume he was talking about this villain.) And then it just flew away. So me and these people went to a supermarket, where the shopping carts could only be moved by pedaling on a bicycle. In the dream, I didn’t know how to ride a bike, so I had to sit on this bench attached to the cart while my apparent friends pedaled. This old man came over and said he didn’t know how to ride a bike, and asked if he could ride with us. We agreed. Suddenly, my dream cut right to us at the cashier, and whenever we rang up our items, they came up at the incorrect price, and the cashier for some reason got mad at us. And then, the store manager screamed, "Everyone out!" and we all ran out of the supermarket and hid underneath cars in the parking lot. The manager said, "We’re going in!" and took his 9 year old son into the supermarket. Suddenly the lights went out and he yelled, "Shut up!" Then the lights came back on and he and his son walked back out. "It’s okay everyone!" he yelled. After we left, the supermarket kind of just froze in place, and this villain came out of the storage room and sort of floated over to the cashier, who was frozen and staring ahead like this: O_O The villain went, "What did you see?" and she said in this kind of robot voice, "I saw a girl and a grandpa, who’s items came up at the wrong price." The villain then let out a sinister growl, then I woke up.

What is with all this? I’ve had other dreams that include Obama running away from the US, heaven, and my aunt and Mom crashing into a chapel in a mini van. I love to write, so I have a cool imagination, but this just sounds insane! Is there some reason that I’m having such obscure dreams?

Do they train you if you work at a store pushing shopping carts in?

I’m 16 almost 17 and need a job. I dropped out of school and i’m going to adult ed this fall to study and get my GED. I want either a full time job or part time job and save up money to buy a car when i’m 18 and I get my license.

I wont be doing nothing this fall but sitting in my house all winter so I figured why not get a job.

Will they hire me if I put on "9th grade highest level of education completed"? The store is Meijer and I was thinking about filling out a application online. I would either want to stock shelves or push carts.
Like I have no idea what they do. Do they show you around and stuff?
Sorry the title should have been "Do they train you if you want to work at a store pushing shopping carts in"

is your mall kid firendly?

is there lots of stuff to do?

our mall used to be more kid friendly but it just renovated and it got rid of all the kiddie rides and they got rid of McDonald’s in the food court so you have to go way up to walmart. They moved the play space down one of the hallways and made it smaller, its right by the washrooms and doors and you see people having smokes and hear the toilet flushing. They are trying to make a rule that the shopping carts from walmart can’t go through the mall which sucks for people with children(if your shopping you have to keep running to the car to drop your bags). However they did expand the family washrooms and put mini toilets in and also made a breastfeeding room which they didn’t have before. Is your mall kid friendly and are there lots of activities?
oh we have lots of great out door parks but its been cold and raining for 6 weeks. We also have and entertainment center that we go to often. They also put a lock on family washrooms and there is a camera so the security gaurd at the front desk has to buzz you in. They are still renovating so maybe they will put the rides back and I don’t think the shopping cart thing will work cause people will complain.

Law suit situation: need help?

A market hires workers with down syndrome to push the shopping carts to the the rack on every floor. A worker on the second floor is pushing a cart when he sees another one. wanting them to push in together, he pushes the one he has in his hand onto the other one. However instead of connecting, the second cart starts speeding down the ramp it was next to down to the first floor. it hits a car causing that car to swerve and hit another car. both cars have damage: the first one has 1000 dollars of damage and the second one has 1300 dollars of damage. Both people then go and sue the market for the cost of the damages and the loss of time from work.

Who is responsible for this incident if anyone?
which damages are legitimate claims for compensation?

What were your favorite Christmas memories as a kid that you love and will always love forever?

AW Christmas, that is the one holiday that I have always adored and will always adore,I remember as a kid how the family would come together to celebrate the holidays and how we would always go shopping with shopping carts loaded with toys, games, clothes, electronics,
those days may be over but the only memories I have of them are the ones that will be in my heart forever,I also remember sneaking presents from under the Christmas tree and you know the rest of the story, this Christmas will be extra special because of(I can’t say that)
I LOVE Christmas and will always will,
what do you remember besides your mom giving birth to you loving you.

Anyone else scared to be a first time mom?

So, I’m almost 13 weeks pregnant with my first child and this week I have suddenly become afraid of being a first time mom! Seeing screaming kids in shopping carts, and projectile vomiting from other places, poop squishing out of diapers… makes me wonder if I can actually handle being a mother! I’m a naturally laid-back person, who is pretty calm and children seem to calm down around me because of how calm I am. But people make parenting sound so difficult and as if it ruins your life, your love life, and any free time that you might have with your spouse is out the window never to be seen until they go to college or move out…

Can anyone out there encourage me? Anyone going through the same thing?
Thanks, I’m 21 too and got married 07-07-07 – my husband is 20. So we’re a young couple!

i am absolutely hysterical. someone please help me.?

i am about 6 week pregnant.
when i first told my guy about it, he was scared like crazy of course, and so was i.
two days later, he said he was over the initial shock and was now getting even a little excited to have a child, and that was honestly the best feeling i can ever remember having: to know that he wouldn’t back out on me, because i am against abortions, and he said he would help me take responsibility for what happened to us.
then, a couple more days later, he called me to tell me that he’d been really thinking about everything, and how we needed to think rationally about our situation.
i am 19 years old and he is 22. he has a full-time job for an hour, but i do not have a job right now because i am in college. i come from a more "wealthy" family, though, and he doesn’t. i’m not saying that my family is uber rich, because we’re not, but both of my parents are doctors. and it also doesn’t mean that his family is dirt poor, but his dad was a marine and his mom is a cop.
he lives on his own and pays for everything himself on his own income, and everything right now for me is pretty much still paid for by my parents.
anyways, i thought things were going amazingly that night he told me he was excited, but then everything changed that next time when he said we needed to speak rationally.
bottom line is we agreed to get me an abortion because of financial problems. i’m sure that his parents and my parents would help, i know they would, but we agreed that we don’t want to have to depends on them forever. we don’t want our baby to ever go without warm clothes, without toys it will want, without anything that it will need.. so we decided that the abortion would be the best thing, since i couldn’t carry a baby for nine months and then just give it away for adoption.
i was fine with the abortion thing for a few weeks, and it still logically makes sense to me, but now.. it’s just like i see babies everywhere. baby carriers, little 2 year olds, kids in shopping carts at the store, baby sections in stores, baby commercials on tv, and i hear about baby stories all the time. it’s not that i never did before, but now it’s just all standing out to me, like it’s saying that i need to have this baby and take the responsibility that i was fine with taking in the beginning.
my guy still thinks it would be the best to get an abortion, and even though he says this, i know he would still be there for me if i decided not to get an abortion. he would be there, he wouldn’t leave me hanging. but he says that an abortion would be the best thing for all three of us: me, him, and our unborn child.

the thing is, my feelings have started to change again. i was absolutely fine with the idea of getting an abortion at first, even though i was against it, because it made the most sense.. but now, it’s just i think EVERYday, hundreds of times a day about how i am going to feel afterwards. if i got an abortion, i know i would never be the same anymore. i’d pretend to have fun, and maybe i could have fun with friends and my guy like old times, but there would still be that one thing in the back of my mind haunting me forever. i wouldn’t become "unpregnant", he and i would just be the parents of a dead baby. and i don’t know how i could live with myself knowing that i took away a life that hadn’t even been given the chance to be lived. what if my baby has real potential? i don’t want to go through the rest of my life having to explain to possible future husbands about how our babies wouldn’t be my first. i don’t want to see babies in shopping carts at the store and think that could have been me, happy with a little boy or girl. i don’t want to hide something so powerful and hanging over me for the rest of my life, because i know that i would regret it and i’ve looked up so many websites on how other women have gotten over abortions, and they all say that there is major depression, regret, hurt, and that their futures are just not as happy as they could have been.

i was fine with the abortion thing at first, but now i’m not. i just don’t know how to break it to my guy, because he still thinks i’m fine with an abortion. i know he wouldn’t back out on me if i told him i was going to have the child, but i know he’d be disappointed in me for not trying to be strong and think about what might be best for the three of us.

someone please help me because i have no idea what to do.

Are there any statistics on grocery store shopping cart shrinkage?

I’m wondering what percentage of a stores shopping carts get stolen?

Does anyone keep track?

More importantly, what does that say about me? Why would I wonder about such a stupid thing?

Should I go back to my ‘Uranus’ questions, or quit while I’m (arguably) ahead?

Urgent!! What do you do when you see teenagers, shady people walking away with carts and metal?

Due to the not so recent news of manholes, scrap metal, any metal statues, urns and now under our noses shopping carts being stolen what do you do?

I know right now your probably going to tell me that you don’t see any of this stuff actually happen, because this occurs in the middle of the night when theives are at work.

I know that you might not care that much, but I work in retail and it costs my store per cart for someone with a truck to bring them in. I don’t see that many carts now. Plus, this is bad, because if you take accounting you would know that revenues should be greater than costs to have a profit. However, concerning profit, whether you think businesses are already made think again and read the news.

NOW FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LIKE THE KISS SPEECH (KEEP IT SHORT and SIMPLE)
Thieves are making money off metal left behind and companies or you need to do something to create and offset of some sort. What should you do?

Baby car seat in Kohl's carts?

I am going shopping at Kohl’s tomorrow and will be bringing my 9 week old baby. I have never brought my baby with to Kohl’s before and am wondering if his car seat will fit in their shopping carts? I know they’re not the normal kind like at Target and Wal-mart. Has anyone brought their baby in his car seat before and their carts work?

Should food stamps and medicaid be revamped?

OK we all know the horrors of shopping at the begining and ending of the month when people go to shop with their EFT/Food Stamps.

Have you ever noticed what the majority of these people put into their shopping carts? Ice Cream,Soda, Cookies all kinds of snacks and junk foor or easy to cook things like burgers or hot dogs. Then you look at them and you see that they are horribly obese even the kids. Yet the scream we dont give them enough money for food.

I say we give em too much. During the school year they eat for free in school. So their funds she be adjusted for breakfast and lunch. During the summer some major cities still feed them breakfast and lunch.

If we can mandate what they can and cant buy this will put a damper on Type II diebetes. After all if they cant buy crap they cant gain weight and cost us even more money. Pros? Cons? Lets hear em!

You have issues. Feed the children but feed em well. No one is saying not to feed em

Isn’t this a good writing?

I’m lost. My Mother left me. I’m alone in a grocery store, surrounded by empty shopping carts trying to hit me. I turn around and around and all I see is a sea of empty shopping cards. People are pushing them, but I can’t see their faces because I don’t look all the way up there. I just have time to see the cart and get out of the way. I keep calling for my Mom.

All through childhood I had this recurring dream. Sometimes I would have it twice in a night. When I awoke, tearfully, I’d call my Mom and she would come and comfort me until I felt safe again. Once a week my mother, grandmother and I would go to several grocery stores and a meat market. Sometimes I’d walk with Gram and sometimes with Mom. I always had to hold onto the cart, so I wouldn’t "get lost."

I think all this talk about getting lost and all that exposure to shopping carts close up left a lasting effect on me which intensified into irrational fear in my dreaming mind. Never once did I lose my mother or grandmother, but I do remember I never looked at adults’ faces because there were so many other interesting things to look at.
As I grew up, my mind found new things to dream about, so eventually those "lost in the grocery store" dreams subsided.

How to choose a shopping cart for a small online business website?

Hi,
I’ve seen several shopping carts for online businesses such as zent cart, paypal, etc. I don’t know how best to choose one for a website I’m going to have developed in the near future for a small online business i’m seeking to launch.

1. Which shopping cart is best for a new online small business from home? Recommendations and why?
2. What is the difference in these carts that allow customers to pay online?
3. Do these shopping vehicles have different fees associated with each?
4. Any other helpful information on this that I should be aware of/look into?

Thanks!

does anyone know of a good shopping cart that supports customizable products?

I’m looking for an online shopping cart that will allow my customers to design customized products and be charged appropriately for them when they check out. I’m fairly new to shopping carts in general, so any general information would be a great help too.

Specifically, my website is www.toddsmithphotography.com. I am getting ready to offer framed prints, and will partner with www.pictureframes.com to create custom frames for my clients. But, in order to do so, I need to have a shopping cart that allows customizable products.

Thanks for your help!

How to hide name on shopping cart handles???

Starting a small buisness and bought the shopping carts from a tru-value that just went out of buisness and there name is engraved in the handle. I want to cover them.HELP!!!

Having trouble finding the right shopping cart for e-store. Please help… ???

If you look at dell.com or hp.com or alienware.com … Their shopping carts allow users to customize a product with images and meaning, AND it does not show that every part of the computer the person is buying like most shopping carts. I seen one cart demo – that after I customized my parts, I was going to be purchasing 14 items! Crazy…! No customer will use that … hehehehe …
I need the same features at the big companys in the shopping cart for the same business (selling computers).

What shopping cart out there is good enough. The only few I saw was:
SunShop shopping cart but it did not use big items just used little selectors to customize the items.
and
X-Cart which so far is the one, but it cost alot and is it all templates, which SUCKS! for a major company.

Please help anyone

Is Kohl's department store held liable for medical bill coverage, if my child falls out of shopping cart?

Ok, so I will start off saying I was an idiot, bad parent, lazy or what ever negative thing you can say. I’ve said it all to myself. In a nut shell this is what happened. We went shopping at Kohl’s with both our daughters, One 4 and the other 1. We put the girls in there own cart to shop and I had the 1 year old and buckled her in. We just sat our other daughter in her cart for she will buckle herself in. Well the cart that had our 1 year old, the wheels were not allowing us to turn. 30 Min’s into shopping I was so annoyed I got down to look at the tires to see if anything was jarring, no. So I said lets let the 4 year old walk and put the one year old in her cart. We moved all the items out of the one broken cart into the other. Then put the one year old in the good cart. Here is the "my bad parenting part", this carts buckle was missing one of the halves to buckle it together…….. Yep, I kept her in there thinning we are almost done shopping, we are at the very back of the store in the baby section and I will keep a eagle eye on her…….. One second look away she stood up and fell out face first.

Question: Is Kohl’s liable for medical bill coverage even though I was a dip for keeping her in the cart that was not properly equipped?

Injury report: She is fine but ER Visit is nothing to smile about!
We are not sueing, we fill responsible but at the same time we are hoping for a regulation on these shopping carts to be hourly inspected. Maybe supply an employee to pass out, sanitize, receive and inspect safey of carts as they are being used! Just thoughts. Look up how many children die due to this same type of issue. Stunning number! We fill very fortunate to escape with minor injuries! We will be more aware of our choice of carts in the future! We actually have been viewing shopping carts safty videos and have learned many more safty tips that we never even took in consideration. Thank you for your thoughts! Happy Holidays!
Lol, this is funny how a simple question has turned into an example of people who are showing that they #1 do not read the complete posting #2 do not understand what they are reading #3 come up with silly remarks… lol thanks Ins. Pickle Guy and Mr. Purprick!

Best answer goes to mbrcatz….

We were not planning to sue, we had asked there postion on the situiation and they told us they have to review the video. After that and finding 5 other carts that were not at safty standards, they are offering us to pay for the med bills and are sending a check for 00. So it is, what it is!

The question they asked was if the buckle was in the cart, would we have used it. The footage showed her buckled in the cart that would not turn and showed me grabbing the belt to buckle her in the one missing the buckle. Footage showed us not leaving her unattended. We never asked for payment we only asked there position. We have insurance and where covered!

Remember, Mr.andMrs. WONDERING!

Would you do these things in Wal Mart? Which ones would you do or all of them?

1.Take shopping carts for the express purpose of filling them and stranding them at strategic locations.
2.Ride those little electronic cars at the front of the store.
3.Set all the alarm clocks to go off at ten minute intervals throughout the day.
4.Start playing Calvinball; see how many people you can get to join in.
5.Contaminate the entire auto department by sampling all the spray air fresheners.
6.Challenge other customers to duels with tubes of gift wrap.
7.Leave cryptic messages on the typewriters.
8.Re-dress the mannequins as you see fit.
9.When there are people behind you, walk really slow, especially thin narrow aisles.
10.Walk up to an employee and tell him in an official tone, “I think we’ve got a Code 3 in Housewares,” and see what happens.
11.Tune all the radios to a polka station; then turn them all off and turn the volumes to “10”.
12.Play with the automatic doors.
13.Walk up to complete strangers and say, “Hi! I haven’t seen you in so long!…” etc. See if they play along to avoid embarrassment.
14.While walking through the clothing department, ask yourself loud enough for all to hear, “Who buys this crap, anyway?”
15.Repeat Number 14 in the jewelry department.
16.Ride a display bicycle through the store; claim you’re taking it for a “test drive.”
17.Follow people through the aisles, always staying about five feet away. Continue to do this until they leave the department.
18.Play soccer with a group of friends, using the entire store as your playing field.
19.As the cashier runs your purchases over the scanner, look mesmerized and say, “Wow. Magic!”
20.Put M&M’s on layaway.
21.Move “Caution: Wet Floor” signs to carpeted areas.
22.Set up a tent in the camping department; tell others you’ll only invite them in if they bring pillows from Bed and Bath.
23.Test the fishing rods and see what you can “catch” from the other aisles.
24.Ask other customers if they have any Grey Poupon.
25.Drape a blanket around your shoulders and run around saying, “…I’m Batman. Come, Robin—to the Batcave!”
26.TP as much of the store as possible.
