It is a gas engine and it was just overhauled 2 yrs ago and does not have much running since being overhauled. My husband is very handy and has replaced many parts trying to figure out the problem to no avail. Can you help?
It could be many things, he doesn’t seem very smart to me, rather than just changing parts out hoping for a fix to no avail, he woulda been cheaper taking it to the experts at the auto zone golf cart department and getting a proper diagnosis the first time. Has he changed the O2 sensors? They can hook up their scanner and have one of their ‘expert golf cart diagnosticians’ diagnose it for FREE.
Check for voltage at the ignition coil.
Check power going to the ignition coil, if there’s power/voltage going to the ignition coil but no spark, the ignition coil maybe the culprit. However, if you DON’T have power/voltage going to the ignition coil, check the connector, are the terminals at the connector good, check the wires, are they good? If so, then check the fuse, check battery, check ground connection. I’ve never worked on a gulf cart before, but gas engines have the same principles. Good luck.
